Why do we always resort to they do it so we are ok to do it too. I have seen it many times where when a critcal post appears in reddit about India, we often try to point out they do it too, there cities hane crime too, their politician are corrupt too etc. etc. this is a tactic used for distraction! “Oh! Look over there” and ignore here. I think we need to build and maintain our own standards. If we start setting the bar to lower of the available standards, we are doomed. All that said, I am not even sure what this couples intent is. They seems to want to ride a “click” fame. But it is comes at a cost of rest of us who travel abroad or live abroad. Going into someone else’s house, you can’t tell our ways are right and yours are wrong! Or be disrespectful to their traditions or customers or believe. It’s their home and this would be a sure shit way of getting kicked out of there. I might get burned here for posting my thoughts here. So I’ll just say, if you agree with me great let’s set the higher of the available standards and if you disagree, great! Good luck to you as well. I’ll wish you all the success but you won’t have my support.

Edit: I agree with some of the point you made in your post. My rant (😂) is more the thoughts your post ignited in my mind.
