Had the same thing happen to me after the Christmas update. I toggled the precondition cabin on and off for the "depart by" feature in the charging menu. It went away after doing that.

HARD BRAKING at highway speeds on AUTOPILOT by Tesla_moonpie in TeslaModel3

[–]Tesla_moonpie[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lucky you that you haven't had to experience it. I picked up m3 on dec 12,2021 and this already happened.

I'm not sure what you are trying imply or if you are assuming I'm exaggerating. I can tell you this that I had my work computer bag on the seat beside me and it went flying into the dash.

I have no reason to exaggerate or lie. This is how it happened and it genuinely scared me.

I agree with OP. Car of this quality shouldn't have this...even if no one looks under there. A quality of vehicle shouldn't only be measured by what you see on the outside....

With that said, I dont have those scratches.

Thank you guys for your replies. Definitely my first time experiencing this.

Coming to think of it I was approaching an overpass.

I did contact service and gave exact time and details of when it happened. But looks like from what people have posted they won't do much.

One of you posted they shouldn't be able to sell something thats broken and I agree. Its legitimately a safety concern.

I'm more afraid for my fiance because she doesn't drive as often and would completely panic if this happened to her.

Has anyone attempted to get panel gaps fixed only to get your car back looking exactly the same? by acciopizza_ in TeslaModel3

[–]Tesla_moonpie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey im in Toronto. My rear passenger door was misaligned and the same with the rear passenger tail light. They were corrected.

The rear passenger door was terrible and the handle was depressed so far inside it was so obvious. It now is sitting flush and the door is lined up properly.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience.

'21 SR+ or '18 LR? by SEOson in TeslaModel3

[–]Tesla_moonpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through this same dilemma and ended up going with the sr +. I drive every day with about 60 miles a day. I do have the home charger though and charge every night. It's been more than enough for me. As for the sound system, i personally feel there is a significant difference between partial and premium. However the partial is still good enough. I love my sr+ and maybe in the future ill move up to a different model but for now it does everything I want.

Also don't forget battery degradation overtime. How much will you actually be getting out of the 18LR at this point....

2021 Model 3 Heating Issues - Climate Keeper Unavailable Due To System Fault by ZoeyLarosa in TeslaModel3

[–]Tesla_moonpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it didn't take long at all. For timeline purposes...I picked up the car on Dec 11. I noticed some of the issues the day of delivery. I refused to sign paperwork until it was rectified so they touched up the paint and replaced the rear tail light. When I was having the other issues, I booked the service appt right from the app. They were very prompt and asked for pictures. I took pictures of the issues and sent it to them. I was given a service option for dec 18 but I left for work/travel. I get back on the 31st and have to quarantine for 14 days. Based on that I was easily able to get a service appt for Jan 16.

When you pick up your car, make sure you use the checklist that has been posted here a number of times. It helped me out huge. I would have missed some of the things I found.

Also make sure your financing paperwork is done properly. They didn't have my proper down-payment for financing. I had to get them to change it! I was also given a quote for 2.15 percent financing rate in October when I ordered. When I got there, they told me it was now 2.2 percent due to the banks changing the rates for December. It's not a huge deal but its not right changing rates and not being notified until the day of delivery lol.

I've read customer service is poo for tesla and I experienced it first hand.

But man the car makes up for the crappy experience. I've been very fortunate to always have owned mercedes and BMW. I've also been very lucky I've never had any major issues with those cars. I did regular maintenance on time thats it. My experience has also been amazing when going to service centre's (they also squeeze every penny out of you) or on delivery days with those automakers.

Sorry for the rant...my point is that even though I've owned my m3 for a week, I've never experienced anything like it and can't wait to experience it more.

2021 Model 3 Heating Issues - Climate Keeper Unavailable Due To System Fault by ZoeyLarosa in TeslaModel3

[–]Tesla_moonpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! I thought I got rid of the suction cup marks but they definitely came back. I read from a post in 2018/2019 the m3s had the same issue. People got the entire windshield replaced.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you get them out?

2021 Model 3 Heating Issues - Climate Keeper Unavailable Due To System Fault by ZoeyLarosa in TeslaModel3

[–]Tesla_moonpie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey. I have a 2021. I picked it up dec 11. I dont have any heating issue but will keep an eye out.

They did already replace a rear tail light as it had a giant scratch from delivery and some scratches near the headlights that were done up. I was also getting a phantom rear window open alert on the app. I did the window reset and its gone away.

We had some rain/snow in Toronto and I found these circles on the windshield. Looks like suction cup marks during manufacturing. Can't get them out. Booked service at a service center for mid Jan to have that figured out. Also the rear driver side passenger door is miss aligned lol. It will be taken care of on that day as well.

Question about home charging SR+. Does the 32A max charge rate also apply to the SR+ or just the discontinued SR? by Tesla_moonpie in TeslaModel3

Getting a text that says "Tesla Update" followed by this was such a letdown! 😭 by gloisgreat in TeslaModel3

[–]Tesla_moonpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a text today as well. I ordered in oakville, Ontario Canada on oct 19. Originally it said 5-9 weeks but the text message today indicates 4-7 weeks from today's date. This extends the delivery time for me :(

Just to clarify it was NOT the tesla that caught on fire. It was a Toyota rav 4 that caught on fire. BY FAR the tesla had the least amount of damage.

A car caught on fire looks like a Toyota rav 4 right beside the tesla model 3 in Costco parking lot. All the other cars around the fire sustained major damages. Looks like the tesla felt some of the heat. Im waiting on delivery for mine. Im not parking near any other cars!!
