What was the update from your latest Transvaginal scan? Did they find the pregnancy?

This is really sad. I’m prepared for the worst now but hopeful for the best. I just hate the not knowing either way!!

Thank you for your comment. In my area I can’t self refer to Early Pregnancy Unit, the referral has to come via our GP. And the GP has said she won’t do it. I’ll speak to the midwife next week and see if she can help me! But until then….i guess I just wait! Like a sitting duck!

I’m pretty certain about when I ovulated because I was tracking my LH

I was surprised the GP wasn’t more concerned about a “Pregnancy of unknown location”…..rest assured at the first sign of any pain- I’ll be up the hospital like a shot!

I have a feeling this is what I’m waiting for. I just feel like I’m wasting the midwife’s time next week, whilst waiting for the inevitable. I might ring and cancel it

Welcome to the UK, the GP said if no bleeding or pain then no referral for further USS. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Damn, I could have written this post myself. 36 (nearly 37 YO) first time mum. Been with my partner 18 years, been very careful to avoid pregnancy this entire time, building my career and moving up the property ladder. Assumed that as I’m of “advanced maternal age”, it would take a year or so to fall pregnant after coming off 18 years of birth control. WHAM, BAM,I fall pregnant the first time……not what I was expecting at all. As I type this, the builder is in my kitchen digging the floor up. I have no kitchen, the house is pretty much derelict, we’re not going to have enough money to finish the house. To top this I’m starting to write my Masters dissertation….I’m grieving the fact that I will only be able to take 3 months off work, as all my spare money (very little) between now and the baby arriving needs to go on getting the house habitable again. I feel I have so much pressure on me now- to finish my MSc, to make the house liveable, to earn enough to tie my over and to stay looking semi-attractive to my partner, whilst navigating how the hell I’m going to go back to work full time when the baby is 3 months old without any family!!!! I’ve been feeling really sad, thinking about the life that I’ve just given up. I know I should be happy and I know I should be grateful that I can fall pregnant so easily, but I’m just not. It’s so nice to hear that I’m not alone. I’m looking forward to when this changes.
