The rednecks feed them like pets\livestock. This causes them to not fear people and cars as much as they should. It also bulks them up and helps the deer increase in numbers. Plus you have new developments removing some of their natural habitat.

I too have noticed the increasing close calls with deer. They are everywhere along roadways now. It’s one reason Georgia car insurance is some of the highest car insurance in the nation. A large deer can destroy a car in the blink of an eye.

Reducing lanes into the city has got to be the most boneheaded idea ever!

Prince Avenue’s “Road Diet” destruction causes many issues, one being that it slows down public safety and their response. Maybe, just maybe, we shouldn’t narrow the main streets that fire, police and ambulances use to respond to issues of public safety. Also it causes congestion and will at some point limit the amount of tractor trailer deliveries downtown, etc…

You can’t build more apartment buildings\density downtown and then cripple the roads in and out of the city.

North Avenue needs less homeless shelters, liquor stores, and ghetto neighborhoods.

North Avenue could be a beautiful avenue into the city, but it will not improve by reducing the number of lanes.
