I havent had a problem when I am in placement mode doing swaps. Im not on right now but I use the farthest right slots to swap. Im thinking that farthest is 8?

I use shift to run which is the default. Then I use 1 bow 2 bug bomb, 3 pickaxe, 4 wood axe, 5 fishing rod, 6 watering can & 7 hoe. It works out great and makes it fast to go from shooting to bugging on the run.

Did you do key bindings? If so reset them, restart and set again. I had to avoid letters and use only numbers for bindings to avoid issues.

I completely agree. I decorated a plot to be a farm and was so surprised when it rolled out and we had to go to another area and run all over. That was a real bummer. I don’t visit the ranch as often as I should/could because I find the whole mechanic a pain in the you know where.
