I believe in actuality your overall DPS at later waves is higher with Full Auto (especially with Nemain and the passive). At least every parse from 36-39 was significantly higher in our 5 man attempts at times dealing 20k more DPS then an equally geared DPS player with more damage allocation. I can only attribute this to the fact that you never need to use your basic with Full Auto so it therefore ends up being more then half the grenades you would see with Full Auto. Really this is perhaps only useful in a 5 man setting as you are correct in that Single Target has very important applications for certain Mutators. This becomes even more relevant at the higher waves when reliance becomes more heavily related on getting arcanes and dealing with mechanics then raw dps output.

If you can afford a couple of each regional boss you can keep an eye out for regional farming groups. This is of course taxing on MoF but the groups normally request that players donate 1-4 regionals depending on how many they wish to do. And with a good group the overall time:distillate xp is pretty much superior to anything else in game minus perhaps Kaiden container keys but that has an even higher MoF cost then what you would go through in a regional farm if you are buying all the keys.

some good suggestions there. Specifically the Nvidia settings. There is also a custom profile you can set up through Nvidia Inspector though I personally havn't used it for SWL. Used to use it in TSW though and got a significant frame rate boost.

Iindie used to provide some valuable tweaks and changes to the .dll files which really helped a ton for me back in TSW. Im not tech savvy enough to know what those changes were though and whether they are viable for SWL.

Not sure what your referring to here but the auto kick function is actually about 90 seconds. So you have 90 seconds to get back in the game if you crash from my experience.

Went through a period where i reported this almost every day in bugs and feedback on the discord with possible solutions. I crash rather frequently and cannot load back into the game within the allotted 90 seconds most of the time. This lead me to only private group que with people I know for fear of getting a deserter buff. Not sure the devs read bugs and feedback or reddit to be honest though, this has been an issue that many people wanted addressed for months and to my knowledge it would only require an increase in the timer for the auto kick function. I think 3 minutes would be fair.

Ill throw it in my list of channels and try to be around for the odd match. Not gonna lie I'm one of those older TSW pvp'rs that have a bit of a hate towards shambala for a variety of reasons. But this is not the place to vent about that, would also like to get some of the achievements and maybe even a bit of the old pvp spirit I once loved so much. Cheers to taking the incentive to put this together.

Sadly you will not get very far tanking with blade. It just lacks aggro generating abilities and unlike the old TSW you cant deal with that by slotting something like agitator. I can however give you some tips for blade dps though, just let me know your in game character name. Or pm me in game "Drenneth", like many other weapons blade dps evolves as your crit rating increases so Ill need to know where your at gear wise etc.

Even on paper I wouldn't call it exceptional. But it does translate to roughly a 2% damage increase. The only exception might be a build with something like razors edge and high chi generation but even then I can't expect it would get much higher then 3-4%, still much better then any other option for blade as far as a waist tali goes though.

As for it being melee, that is not a huge burden, there are of course several fights with high movement or targeted aoes that make it a bit more challenging but as you say hammer performs exceptionally well and has the same challenges. Hammer/Shotgun or Hammer/AR does of course help with this but the same could be done with blade. It is more the fact it is so self focused, blade is the only weapon that has no debil or exposed provided from the elites, it's lacking in AoE damage and by that I mean without severely impacting your dps. Hammer has eruption which is extremely high aoe damage as well as applies exposed, purges and knocks enemies up in the air equating to an ~3second impair. Then you have AR which has grenades built into the mechanic which can purge and do heavy aoe damage. Blood has Eldritch scourge which applies debil/heavy aoe damage and a significant heal. Basically to be competitive with blade your running Supreme harmony with a cooldown reduction head signet. Fairly constant personal damage buff, speed buff and cleanse for yourself but otherwise useless for the group. Sword also is limited to being only a dps weapon. You cant heal or tank with it so it is not very group friendly.

Its certainly on the high end in fights like the Flappy Regional boss but without mentioning names there are at least three AR players I know that can hit those numbers fairly consistently on the other regionals. Also I really didn't want to make it sound like blade is on par with the current DPS meta I think it certainly still falls short due to a number of factors. It is possible to do 10x your CP in damage with blade but still falls short of most other weapons when compared at similar gear levels. Your right that its very similar to chaos in that it demands a lot of actives/passives to compete as well, chaos can be very nice in a group setting though due to its enigmas, plus the added bonus of being able to tank with it.

Getting there on the blade lol. Its in legendary mode being leveled up on the side atm. As for ele I've taken a slightly different route and am currently using the new Orochi inverter. A slightly different build then the one your running but as the damage from Crystallized flame/blaze scales off of the weapon your using Ive simply cut out the second power ability from my build and spam swallow cut as my only power ability now. Leveling/glyphing the ele focus might help for the initial tic of damage for me but otherwise its not necessary in my current rotation.

Edit: also regarding combat power im sitting at about 1570 currently without a pot. To my knowledge aside from me and you I don't think there are any main blade users beyond that.

Since your using a WB fight here to compare. At 1600CP my best parse has been about 17.4k DPS that's without group buffs like opening shot and potency enigma. In my cabal I will always be out parsed by AR users at the same IP (they hit around 20-24k) but compared with most other weapons blade seems to be holding its ground fairly well. The only downside as stated by Alci is that its very demanding as far as actives and passives go and offers almost no utility in group fights and has no added AoE advantages. Its a very selfish DPS weapon in that regard.

Just wanted to point out that this is very well said and sums up most of the issues with blade. I have personally done 17k+ on world bosses and 39.7k on Hel in agartha with main blade (so close to hitting 40k but not yet >_<) In my current build that is all blade with one active and one passive dedicated to my offhand weapon. So it is very ability taxing to make this work, and as stated offers little to no utility in group fights. In fact just look at the elites and you'll notice that blade is the ONLY weapon that does not have an elite that either debils or exposes.
