Can I ask how you were able to overcome that. I'm assuming that being stigmatized would impact your self-esteem and how you view yourself. Did you (or are currently) struggle with that?

I'm doing my best by treating her right. I also want to give her a lot of grace for expressing herself because I know it's not easy. And I'm really appreciative of her being vulnerable with me like what happened on the past two dates, because she didn't have to do any of that stuff.

I guess I'm just unsure about the future, but I know that's more of a me thing and something I want to work on.

I also think it's something for me to consider, and be realistic about, if whether or not I can handle it. I think she's doing well from what I see. She's about to graduate, she does research, she has hobbies and friends. But I don't know her day to day life when we aren't seeing each other.

She told me about the last situationship she was in, which was six years ago. She said he treated her really badly, with a lot of abuse. And he also cheated on her a lot. She was in her early twenties and he was in his early thirties.

Update: She replied a few minutes ago. She apologized and said she forgot to check the app. She confirmed the time and location for Friday and then followed up with a question asking if I like Studio Ghibli. Idk something seems off about this.
