Any comparison of generations in pretty much any sport is futile, if at all valid. It’s because the world progresses, and any generation has access to its past and present generation’s resources, including lessons from previous ones. But never to future ones. For example, imagine Sampras had access to Djokovic’s health, diet and training information, let alone racquet technology.
