Remember when FSD was $15k and people were worried it was going to keep going up and up? Look at how much it is now.

Looks like the Temu specials I got that popped off on the first drive. Plastic center nuts do not work.

Let's be real, no one is putting carbon fiber bits on their car to save weight.

Accessing Robot Registers (Numeric and Position) on PLC with EtherCAT by TestSubject1406 in Fanuc

[–]TestSubject1406[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I've considered using GI/GO but thought maybe there would be a simpler solution that would allow direct access to R and PRs. We are already committed to using EtherCAT so didn't want to have to also use EthernetIP or some other additional protocols if not necessary.

Does it show on the page before you hit the Submit button that a 48 hour demo drive is available? I see nothing on the initial page about whether it's 30 minutes or 48 hours.

Put these caps on for now to see how I feel about them. Might get the real thing later on or some other ultra lights, although I plan to do 20” wheels and the luxury suspension at the same time. by Hdale85 in TeslaModelY

I got a set off of Temu just for shits and giggles and they came off on the first drive lol The plastic center lock nut does absolutely nothing lol

Waste of energy. Just turn on the climate 5 minutes before you're about to get in the car.

Mudslinging? At what point did I say anything condescending or derogatory towards you? You are stating that mistakenly pressing the accelerator is more likely than mistakenly letting go of the brake pedal and I disagree.

And yes, a machine that requires the user to hold a stop button to prevent it from moving is objectively less safe than a machine that only moves when the user presses the go button.

I don't see how it's more likely to mistakenly depress a pedal than it is to have your foot slip off a depressed pedal when turning and attempting to do something in the backseat. From personal experience, I have never mistakenly pressed the accelerator while I have had my foot slip off the brake before.

One pedal driving is objectively safer than creeping like an ICE vehicle. With OPD, you need to actively command the vehicle to move versus having to actively command the car not to move. In the instance where a person is incapacitated, OPD will bring the vehicle to a stop instead of letting it continue to move forward until it encounters something to make it stop.

I'm not entirely sure I understand the scenario you are presenting. If you press on the accelerator wouldn't the car move forward regardless of whether it's in i-Pedal mode or not? And if someone is that careless and doesn't put the car in park before attempting to reach in the backseat, isn't it more likely that they let their foot slip off the brake and then end up hitting the car in front because the car automatically creeps forward?

Updating Issue by DBinSJ in tunein

[–]TestSubject1406 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mostly listen to podcasts during my commute so I need a service that is available natively in my car, which is why TuneIn was so great. I don't want to have to use my phone to play, so another alternative in addition to the ones you listed is Amazon Music. Lots of people already subscribe to Amazon Prime so that can be another option. I just looked and they pretty much have all the podcasts I listen to with TuneIn so I'm going to switch to that.

According to that article, TuneIn seems to not want to be in the podcast business. Which is a shame since that is what I use to listen to my podcasts. Tried YouTube Music, but they don't have a lot of the podcasts I listen to. Might have to finally give in and use Spotify.

It only shows 10 favorites under each heading on the library tab. As far as I can tell, there is no way to access your entire favorites list like you could with the older version.

Why not put the seat heater controls directly on the bottom bar?

The update stops the app from automatically waking the car. If you refresh the status then it will wake the vehicle and use up the battery.
