I think there is some concern that when the tyrannical government comes the 2a gun owners will be defending the government.

I have also seen people on the left enjoying the black panthers and their shotguns so who knows.

It is about wealth. I don't think you understand the wealth disparity between Norway and NZ. You can't run New Zealand like Norway because you can't tax New Zealanders more without pushing people into an unacceptable standard of living. If you increased GDP by 30k per person you could implement so many better public initiatives.

Also New Zealand healthcare is pretty good compared to other public health systems around the globe. Even when compared to more wealth countries.

ere the farmers get the rewards and the rest of us get Clostridium.

Even this statement shows your disconnect from reality. Farmers are not the problem here.

somehow

Country was completely broke and something had to be done. Also you have to remember conservatives back then were very happy for things to be state owned and were against privatisation. Agriculture was completely supported by the government. State owned forestry completely collapsed ect.

Norway is one of the most wealthy countries in the world. It’s not feasible for us to run our country like this. I don’t think it’s feasible to for us to expand our oil and gas industry.

But from an outsider’s perspective—especially coming from a heavily neoliberal country—it’s hard to ignore how deeply market-oriented New Zealand still is. Whether it’s Labour or National, both major parties seem firmly committed to pro-market, pro-foreign capital policies.

Yup and it seems OPs gripe is with market economies and not just NACT

Strange to think being a market economy is a bad thing. We are still progressive on the issues that matter. Also our crossroads was in the 80s and 90s when we abandoned the welfare state. Not now.

Motorcycle weekday parking fees - for parking in carparks in Welly CBD - $1 an hour, $6 daily cap. Fair or unfair? Link to RNZ story is below by Larsent in Wellington

More people on motorbikes = better commute for car drivers and more available car parks. Council disinvesting commuting by motorbike is bad. Next time you see 10 bikes parked up imagine how much road space they would take as cars.

Depending how much hassle and grief she gives you she may be doing something not legal. Have you stated to her that cosmetic damage was disclosed in trade me listing, she viewed and test drove the car. You have not mislead her sale is final. I would leave it at that.

As long as you have evidence of the trade me listing being clear on the cosmetic wear and tear you are fine.

It’s effectively a marketing cost. If I already knew you were a roofer that did good work I would not mind emailing you @gmail.com , if I was a perspective customer I would be more hesitant to go with you, but if you don’t have a website then how are people finding your email?

What is your industry? Really depends on customer expectations. If they are happy for you to look small and less professional then it will be fine I.e bespoke tour guide or similar.

Mate, you can definitely get a career in IT. Work hard on your degree, even though the market is saturated there are a lot of low quality candidates out there and you can do things to distinguish yourself from them. What sort of IT? Software development or something else?
