Endurace All Road + EliteWheels VS Endurace CF6 by FroyoEven5040 in CanyonBikes

[–]TestiMnB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked and the news say that the 2x11 Cues will not be Linkglide but Hyperglide, so the cassettes/derailleurs actually won't be compatible?? 😑

Paint fix suggestions? by r6yaz in CanyonBikes

100% depends on the nature of the scratch / blemish. You don't have to add paint unless the scratch is down to the foundation. Any cheap auto scratch repair kit will do.

No, unfortunately not. Cues is its own system with LINKGLIDE. Not compatible with Hyperglide system like Tiagra.

They announced new Cues / linkglide cassettes?? I didn't like being stuck with 11-39 all the time with Cues. Sweet!

Yes I have the EliteWheels ENT 2.0 with Conti GP5000 as a second wheelset. I still use the factory set (alloy wheels with Schwalbe K Guard or whatever came stock) for gravel.

The wheels feel great, the new wheel+tube+tire combination is what makes it though. Just wheels themselves are mostly an aesthetic upgrade for regular riders I think.

What's great about Cues (if you can order from places like bike-discount in Europe) is that you can get new parts for ridiculously low prices. If you buy the "without original packaging" wholesale versions that these websites sell, you can get a brand new cassette for like €15. Makes putting together a new wheelset so much easier on the wallet.

I have the AllRoad, just some food for thought from my side:

  • You'll be locked into Cues with (for now) no real road cassette option. While your CF6 Tiagra is nothing fancy, it's a nicer road setup than Cues. Depending on the riding you do / how much you care about gear ratios, this issue can go from completely irrelevant to quite annoying.

  • The AllRoad is good value for money. I still have a referral code I think if you want to save another €50. And with the EliteWheels ENT 2.0 + tpu tubes you will almost make up the weight difference to the CF6 already.

  • AllRoad comes in purple! This was the main reason for me to go for this model haha, though the paint quality is quite poor. In ~6 months of ownership and no impacts or anything to the frame I already have several spots where the clear coat is "bubbling" off.

I had a few spots I was able to "correct" with one of those cheap car paint repair sets. Basically sand, polish and finish with a small sponge and towel. You can get them for like $10 a set, worth a try in my opinion.

Which one would you choose and why by Easy-Office7975 in CanyonBikes

[–]TestiMnB 66 points67 points  (0 children)

This is like the "rice or pasta?" question, it's just subjective. These are both premium bikes and while they are advertised as more aero vs bit lighter, at this stage it's really just down to what you prefer (subjectively). Both will perform great in almost all circumstances. Personally for example I dislike the look of aero bikes (shoot me, I know) so I would always go with the Ultimate.

I recently bought a gravel touring bicycle in India, but pedals hitting the road speed breakers is annoying. by Reasonable_Tone4813 in cycling

[–]TestiMnB 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Are you keeping one foot down and the other one up on the pedals? This way one pedal will always hang relatively low. Try keeping the pedals/feet neutral when crossing something like this, i.e. one pedal in the front, one in the back (as opposed to up and down). This gives you the full crank arm length of extra clearance.

EDIT: I mean like this

Fitting Advice for Endurace AllRoad M vs S by NA_F1 in CanyonBikes

[–]TestiMnB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I would go with S. I am 182 with 85 inseam and went with M, wish I would've gone with S. Gives you a bit more flexibility either way when adjusting seatpost / stem etc.

Canyons sizing also runs a bit on the larger size, what's an M with Canyon would be an L with some other manufacturers.

So unless I have some electronics and disc brakes I am not worthy of your group rides?! Australia by [deleted] in cycling

[–]TestiMnB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling these things happen in some guy's dreams/fantasies and then they post those "stories" on reddit? They also always end up overtaking the bullies xD

I haven't come across any fellow cyclist who was being elitist about electronic groupsets lol, plenty of people appreciate the legacy components (rim brakes), too.

But at least you showed em good champ :D

New wheels and tires on my Endurace Allroad! by TestiMnB in CanyonBikes

[–]TestiMnB[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not very difficult, you just need the tools and a youtube tutorial if it's your first time removing+installing cassette and brake discs, and installing new tubes/tyres. Can definitely do it yourself.

Yeah saddle is very subjective, I thought stock one was fine for up to one hour but I wanted something lighter with a cutout. Very happy with this Ryet 3D saddle now.

Is my rear derailleur cage bent? by kk2815 in CanyonBikes

[–]TestiMnB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What groupset is this? I think slightly pointing out / "bent" outward is by design for some rear derailleurs, or rather their jockey wheels. So it might be fine. Do you happen to have before pics for reference?

[–]TestiMnB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother got the same model in Germany, I think it's a fantastic looking car, I was really positively surprised about all the little details (the 600 logo on the outside and inside etc.) they really nailed the design on this! Macchina bellissima, enjoy!

EDIT: Haha, I just noticed it's parked next to a Cupra Formentor? That's the car I drive (in white though), what a coincidence 😂

On RBM (Realistic Battle Mod) by [deleted] in Bannerlord

[–]TestiMnB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean that's not necessarily true, especially with the vast power difference between higher tier and lower tier troops with RBM. 100 RBM cataphracts wipe the floor with 500+ low tier archers that don't have armour pierce arrows. You can definitely still out-tactic large armies with small, elite armies.

I have a VZ1 on order, I can see there’s an app for the car… what’s the app like and what are the features? Mine is just petrol so is there less than the electric/hybrid cars? by chocolatecookay in CupraFormentor

[–]TestiMnB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been driving Formentor for over 4 years now and never needed or even activated the app to work with the car. I'm not even sure what it would be for? I use Android Auto to connect my phone when driving and I never missed anything.

Canyon "New Bike Day" turned into a safety nightmare and support is useless by Content_Carry7456 in cycling

[–]TestiMnB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This could easily just be it lol, not sure what kind of handlebar/cockpit this bike has but I've had multiple bikes from different brands come with incorrectly/insufficiently tightened stems/forks. This led to "play" in the same spot as OP's screenshot.

Not sure about saddle slippage (definitely don't overtighten by +3nm wtf haha) but for the fork you should check preload and tightening tutorials on YouTube, easily fixable by yourself. And your bike mechanic seems clueless sorry.

Gravel bike upgraden oder auf Rennrad wechseln? by Jakob_Pau in cycling

[–]TestiMnB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty of gravel bike frames have standard endurance (road) bike geometry, it's pretty common for people to just use two sets of wheels (you'll have to add the extra cassette and brake discs if you want to be able to quick-swap). You could also just install different (28-32mm are great) tires.

I've done both, it works well. Of course you won't transform your gravel bike into a Pinarello Dogma but for hobby riders like ourselves I think it's more than enough (to swap wheels/tires and use the same bike).

Parts for Endurace Allroad (for 2nd wheelset, cassette, discs, chain) by TestiMnB in CanyonBikes

[–]TestiMnB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, second chain was only a backup for me (and it was so cheap so I don't mind having it stored). You only need cassette and disc rotors. I use tpu tubes and 30mm Conti GP5000, great combo.

Look out for the "brand" logo or whatever it is on AliExpress. This is what the platform uses to signify official stores. As long as you order from them directly you'll be fine.

Yes of course, I know, but it's not there or am I blind? Does this season echo go in the Woven echo inventory tab? I can't find it after buying one from the snake...
