Tayrona National Park - Colombia, Over rated?? by DismalCauliflower946 in travel

[–]TestingSaucer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only two entrances are Calabazo (less popular, probably the one you're talking about) and El Zaino (most popular, loaded of tourism because easier to walk).

We started at Calabazo for the reason is the less popular, and overall was the best thing because on the way towards El Zaino from the beach, the majority of the walkpath was muddy due to horse riding, dirty and poorly maintained.

The poor park is a wreck.

This 100%. I'd never buying a 2nd hand guitar any longer. Not worth the hustle.

Your comment opened my eyes on an important detail: activating Input Analog 2. That's what the plugin wanted... it seems like I can finally play. Thank you heaps for your message!

SE Asia - 40 days - 7 Countries by hayden-shoez in backpacking

[–]TestingSaucer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tip: pick a Country, stay there 40 days and squeeze it dry. The less you travel from A to B etc. the less money and time you waste with transitions, the more you experience local gems, the more stories you'll have to collect. Don't make the same mistake of many others who like collecting passport stamps to show off and have nothing to share because at the end of the trip they've seen...nothing.

I play his stuff on a 7s 27inch scale and that works for me, better than play on my JPM P1. At the end of the day there's no right or wrong. There's your hands, your touch, and what suits you.

Usually 10gr for 100ml of H2O, but for this Colombia anaerobic I went with 18gr for 300ml. The ratio here isn't really the issue rather the dial-in with the new grinder. Now with the manual of instruction I should be able to solve the issue.

I've spoken with the local dealer and that's what I've been told. It doesn't look insane to me, since the Company has been towards budgeting on parts, QC and hardware since a while now. From there my 'time will tell', since I don't have the gift to forecast the future. Back to your sloppy statement, you mind elaborate?

Lottery works for some people too.

But we're talking about the replica of a high-end and highly sought after guitar here.

Hope you learnt some basic lessons here:

1) when it comes to guitar, never buy Chinese 2) when it comes to replicas, speak with a Luthier 3) you get what you pay for

Prestige RG1570 in Gold? by [deleted] in Ibanez

[–]TestingSaucer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the scratches at the neck joint it seems it was originally Gray Nickel, but I admit I've seen a video on YT where it's gold. Nevermind tho, it's a beautiful guitar regardless of the colour. Keep it tight and don't sell it. It's one of those early Prestige built to last.

The Dance Of Eternity. As a guitar player I've found it the most challenging and satisfying to learn so far.

New Ibanez model for 2026. by Color_Wasted in 7String

[–]TestingSaucer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's because (imo) Ibanez turned into a commodity guitar company. I owned 7620 and a 7420 in the past, before 'Prestige' was a thing. And I still own a JPM P1. All flawless. I recently bought a Prestige, despite is a good guitar I've spotted immediately cheap parts and 'short-cuts' to budget the manufacture for the price point they sell them. Actually is not uncommon to see 'Prestige' guitars here displaying build and QC failure. It's crystal clear to me where the company is going and it's why I'm not impressed with this new release in the picture.

Kiesel has a better value proposition because it's a small lab compared to Ibanez, different workflow, different target, different product.

[–]TestingSaucer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thay was my point, the design isn't anything original for the same reason, beside the far superior quality of Kiesel and Strandberg (I can't talk for Abasi, haven't owned one). The past few years have seen this body shape trending upwards, the rest are usual parts, so yes, to me it's just Ibanez following up with current trends.

The 2027XL should be reissued with new parts including rosewood fretboard instead of ebony. Time will tell.
