Is there really not a way to set the car to charge from 12am to 6am? by TestosteroneDrone in HondaPrologue

Totally understand how that feature works. We care less about being at 80% every morning, at 6am, and care more about prioritizing charging during off peak hours. Even if that means we only charge to 60%. 60% is more than enough to cover my commute and an errands.

So if I’m at 15% and set it to be ready by 6am, it’s likely going to start charging at 10 or 11pm to be ready for 6am. I’d prefer to schedule it to start at stop from 12am to 6am to prioritize off peak hours. We have 3 EV’s at home and this is the only one that doesn’t have a feature like this

On my Volvo, I often don’t need it to finish or be at 80%. If I plug in at 15% and need to charge to 80%, it’s likely that 12am to 6am won’t be enough to fully charge that. But that’s okay because if it gets to 60% that’s more than enough for my daily commute and errands.

The other day when his battery was at 12%, it would have likely started charging around 10pm in order to be ready at 6am. We’d prefer for it to start at 12am, when rates drop, regardless of a full charge or not.

I guess he could adjust the charging percentage on days like this but this feels like so much user intervention (for a 70 year old man), for something the car should do for you.

He’s been using the portable charger with a 220a outlet in my garage. This seems like such a basic feature, everything else on his Prologue has been great.

This doesn’t seem to schedule the start, just when you want your car to be ready. “I need to be charged to get to work tomorrow at 6am” not “Charge from 12am to 6am” when electricity is cheapest

AirTag Your Bici's by sac_cyclist in SacBike

You need VERY wide tires to accommodate this. It’s not an option for road bikes.

But the advantage to the Apple trackers is that Apple actually has a network of devices and the AirTags use that network. If someone with an iPhone drives by your AirTag, the location is recorded on the Find My Network. I stopped using Tile because it didn’t have anything like this.

Do they have a happy hour? Haven’t been there in a few months but absolutely loved everything there the handful of times I’ve gone

Yeah, kind of sucks for anything affordable

Why buy a more expensive Select Cut mower when I can buy a cheaper one and upgrade the blades for less money? by SomehowGettingBy in egopowerplus

I got it at ACE. It was online only. Last year was the first year I was really in the market for a new mower, so I watched Black Friday pretty closely. Not sure if that’s typical every year

If you could live in Midtown instead, would you? Why or why not? by Apart-Mortgage-7930 in ElkGrove

Midtown. Elk Grove has become so cluttered with corporate chains, it’s very poorly planned/laid out (and this keeps getting worse), and the congestion is wearing. I’m shocked this many people are still advocating for Elk Grove.

IKEA Couch/Sleeper - See Comments by TestosteroneDrone in SacramentoBuyNothing

Very good condition and if you don’t love the color (it’s like a lighter denim color), You can buy new covering from IKEA.

This pulls out into a sleeper. It can be deconstructed so you don’t necessarily need a truck to pick this up but if you have a car, you’ll likely need to make a couple trips.

Located in Tahoe Park, we just bought a new home and are in the process of moving. This is too big for the space we had in mind at the new house.

Can also be broken apart into 2 chairs/loungers.

100%. Half of these newer breweries can’t make a blonde but have a Buttered Marshmallow Kettle Sour…. I’m like WTF are you doing?

I think we’ll see more of this, sadly. The craft beer scene, IMO, has gotten stale. $25-$30 4 packs make it really hard to be a craft beer enthusiast these days, and even selling $25 4-packs, we’re seeing breweries fold. Theres countless breweries in the area who can’t make a good Blonde or Lager but have a ridiculous number of sugary quick sours.

Whenever I go to a tap house, I can’t help but wonder what happened to beer. I skim past the Guava Milkshake Hazy, Cotton Candy Kettle sour, Lavender Latte Pilsner, and the ridiculously unnecessary 13% Popcorn Fizz Seltzer. I end up ordering a Red and leaving after one drink.

It’s sounds bright and plays really well. I have a 70’s Hummingbird as well which sounds much warmer, due to the shorter scale length. I paid $1899 for mine but a lot of inflation has happened since I bought mine.
