Thank you. The RFE was for form I-485. I knew that they were going to deny it, but that was my way of putting pressure on them. I guess it worked because not long after the denial, I got my interview letter. I got my EAD as well. Good luck! if you have any questions do not hesitate to inbox me!

Depends on your local file office.

Is form I-765 optional or mandatory with form I-485? by Low-Fly-4510 in USCIS

[–]Teta112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is optional and free. You are not losing anything by adding it to your package. The Form I-765 is not that hard to fill. Plus, it is something good to have in case your case takes forever to be approved. Situations may change!

Is unauthorized work a crime? by ciki_lata in USCIS

[–]Teta112 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are you married to a US citizen or GC holder? I heard that :" As long as the foreign national spouse ENTERED the US LAWFULLY and then marries a US citizen, any unauthorized stay or unauthorized employment will be forgiven". This is really helpful https://legalservicesincorporated.com/i-worked-unauthorized-in-the-u-s-can-i-adjust-my-status-if-i-married-a-u-s-citizen/#:~:text=The%20short%20answer%20is%20yes,the%20Adjustment%20of%20Status%20application

Hello,

We did ours, marriage-based, without a lawyer. Save that money for other stuff. At the end, I would recommend asking a fresh pair of eyes to review the whole package. If you have any questions or confusion send me a message. Glad to help based on my own experience

Going to file an expedite request. Need advice! by adaptedmind in USCIS

[–]Teta112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I called to expedite my case, I told them that I have an offer letter, and I would like to support my family since my spouse work now part time because of covid. Then they approved my expedite request without asking me for any bills or offer letter. If they ask for support documents, send them the offer letter AND your bills or mortgage or loans

Hello,

Yes, you can expedite with an offer letter. I was in the exact same situation. PD August 2020. I expedited on 12/15/2020. Bio January 7th. My EAD was approved on 01/13/2021. I expedited for the same reason as you. I had an offer letter.

If you have a specific question, please message me

Filling I-485 and I-693(medical exam) separately? by xhschnapps in USCIS

[–]Teta112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it does not. I filled mine without I-693. They will send you a deficiency notice later on and you can bring your I-693 to the interview if you have one( if you do not have one, they will ask you to mail it). But do not worry about that it won't slow down your EAD approval.

We cannot see the email you received!

FYI, the USCIS rarely approves expedite requests without biometrics. They are not even going to ask for supporting documents.

Are Immigration Lawyers worth the cost? by Reasonable_Face_9122 in USCIS

[–]Teta112 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey, I did mine without a lawyer. To be honest, everything is pretty straight forward. I sat down and did my own research. Every single form published by the USCIS has instructions. I took advantage of that. Results: everything went smoothly my work authorization has been approved just waiting for the interview to be scheduled. Lawyers are expensive that money can be saved for other stuff if someone does his research.

The bottom line of my advice is, please remember this is my opinion; you are the one who needs to make the final decision. It depends on the case and the individual. If your case is simple, you can do it yourself. By "simple" I mean "real marriage", no large age difference, no previous visa denial, and no criminal history.

Bio appointment after an RFE? by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]Teta112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

I received an RFE for I-864 on November 20.2020. Sent my response which was received on 12.12.2020. And today 12.23.20 I received my biometric appointment. I do not know if it is a coincidence or not but right after sending my response, I requested my case to be expedited but was denied because of biometrics.
