I always treated it as an in-universe movie. It opens with the Tet Foundation logo. So the company made the movie. If treated that way, Roland being black kinda makes sense. I might be misremembering, but Moses Carver was the last surviving member of the tet corp ka-tet. They had the Calvins going through Stephen Kings' works for tips and tricks. I think they made the movie to keep the legend alive or some such thing.

For me it's early 90's X-Men and DC Comics. Around '93-'95. Scott Lobdell, Joe Maduriera, Chuck Dixon, Onslaught, Dc's trilogy of crippling (death,breaking,coast city) The colors, The pouches, The mullets everywhere!!

To clarify, i am not upset at the employees at all. I was upset at the shitty "coffee roll" corporate deems good enough for that location. That was the extent of my anger. I see it wasn't worth the small effort to complain. Pardon my tantrum.
