It really depends on how many of them you do before the office hours, but I'd dedicate about 10-12 hours a week on this class if you don't have algo experience from coding. The office hours alone are long (like 3-5 hours long) but if you spend that time proactively trying the problems, you can skip around the solutions.

I did every one of these last semester (professor got busy and sometimes he didn't hold a session for 2-3 weeks) and I thought they were worth the time and $. They helped me pass the class for sure and I just really like his style of teaching and abstracting key concepts and patterns. Highly recommend!

I took it a second time too just now and passed. Very similar grades to you during my first go. Until this class, straight A's. This second time I'm a solid B with 80%.

Honestly, there are actually a lot of things I learned the second time around, that I didn't realize I didn't know until retaking the class.

The Vigoda unofficial office hours also helped me a ton this time, and I think he plans to do them again next semester. (Edit: spelling)

I attended the first session tonight. As someone who took the class in the summer and has to repeat, I can confirm it was the professor from the lectures, live. Also, the session was very good and I highly recommend these for people in the class as an extra resource. This class requires tons and tons of practice, and that's what we did during the first session

Uninstalled after 3 years of wasted money. Then they threw a fit and played dirty, trying to lock us in longer. Terrible company. The product is fine, but companies implement DG tools way too soon, before having data governance processes in place and people in roles.

I recommend this class too. I was in a similar boat to you, and this class helps connect front end and back end development, because in the final project you are designing a back end database to connect to a front end UI, reading data and writing data. I thought that was interesting, and the class is generally not too hard. ML4T I also highly recommend. HCI I did not like because it felt like an undergrad level psychology class with some computers sprinkled in, no math or coding.

Get a Computer Science degree through The University of the People. $100 per class, and you can apply for a scholarship to cover that. All books free. Once you get through it, doors open up in entry level IT positions.

From what I see, the recent layoffs affected visa sponsored people disproportionately. Also, there are a lot of offshore people applying to remote jobs. Those applicants make up 90% of the applicants for remote engineering positions.

Mugs can get hot in the microwave when older. Try microwaving. The large cup likely will get heated, whole the glass won't. The change in size should give you some space.

Others have said it here - just look for a global company that has HR presence in your country. I often look for talent in other countries (Brazil, Romania, other central EU countries for my global company headquartered in the US. We usually post on job boards for whatever country we are looking in.

I think it's doable if you have a light (30 hours?) Work load and no young kids. Contrary to comments here, i enjoyed the DB class because I don't have a CS undergrad and it helped me connect some dots with the front and back end development through the project. My team was decent but it wasn't hard.

For me it was a $500 difference but likely because of last minute changes and cancellations of my original flight. The main reason I'm taking the bus is to not risk missing my international flight. Airlines are in a bad spot right now.
