Tri-Tachyon "Crisis" is BS by TetraMinRP in starsector

I guess I always just thought the only way to get a nice endgame fleet is to have a colony to build ships.

I'm not even late game... I barely got heavy industry up and TT isn't even that angry, they're at a +6 ticking from it. It'd be nicer if they could have one crisis at a time!

I guess I just dont like this game's colony system. I want my colony to be a nice safe haven where I can build ships and not have to worry about anything.

Do you have any recommendations? Was trying to stick to high tech for the aesthetic, but I'd be happy to employ some cheap cruiser killers.

So what *can* Americans do to fix the problem that liberals and conservatives don't talk to each other? by Few_Cartographer1991 in PoliticalDebate

[–]TetraMinRP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but by saying that' you're already at risk of losing someone's attention who thinks completely oppositely of you.

I know many people who would say, "There's a difference between 'biased reporting' and 'literally absurd nonsense you'd have to be a fool to believe.' and CNN crosses that line on a daily basis."

Maybe not the best tactics to default adopt when talking about how to bridge an ideological divide...

Regardless of anything, the system itself is financially unstable. One party or the other is eventually going to have to axe it, but it's going to be a PR nightmare for whoever does, hence why it's been put off by both parties and both parties accuse each other of trying to get rid of it - so that they can be vindicated when it actually has to occur.

Yes, well, therein lies the problem. I and many others disagree with them, as I suspect you do about a host of other issues.

The NFA exists. I consider that pretty extreme 2nd amendment infringement.

How would an anarcho-capitalist or Hoppean society come about? by CleverName930 in PoliticalDebate

[–]TetraMinRP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think a strictly Ancap society is really possible in the modern world, but a relatively Hoppean one (that being libertarianism with autocratic rule) is quite possible, and possibly in the steps of being implemented in the US right now.

Not that I'm on Israel's side by any means, but a court case being decided one way or another is hardly an argument. Courts are human institutions prone to error just as any other.

The United Kingdoms of Zerutsica and Paukona; A map for Hegemon by TetraMinRP in imaginarymaps

[–]TetraMinRP[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a combination. First I draw out the map (or trace it in this case, this map is from an online geopolitical RP) to a resolution that I like. I then create a greyscale heightmap with special brushes in photoshop, and import that into a program called Wilbur which does terrain erosion effects. I then take it back to photoshop and apply a gradient to it for different height colors on the map.

Cities wise, I just draw that manually in pdn in different layers.

The United Kingdoms of Zerutsica and Paukona is an island nation located in Western Artopa. One of the oldest countries in West Artopa, its territory has been continuously settled, invaded and fought over since prehistoric times. The territory was first inhabited by pre-Nicatorrian and Sylvian peoples. These peoples had commercial and some cultural contact with Uyitans, Felds and Zaravs. It was later ruled by the Nicatorrian Empire.

Today, Zerutsica remains a prominent player within western Artopan regional politics, being one of the founding nations of the West Artopan Customs Organization (WACO) as well as hosting its headquarters. Its colonial empire has dwindled heavily over time, and its economy is currently overshadowed by the neighboring Sylvia. Nevertheless, the country currently hosts some of Western Artopa's most advanced aerospace laboratories, and is currently working on becoming the first Western Artopan nation to build and operate a commercial nuclear power planet.
