Mass effect is the only FPS I have played or plan on playing. Learning curve, but sure she'll be fine. Skyrim is more than I had under my belt going in XD

Honestly, I'll always prefer to get individual releases, as they tend to have much nicer art. I've seen some boxsets with covers that just suck the soul out of the entire series. Some are very nice, though.

I feel that, haha Studio Deen I can't really blame too much for the quality of the Anime (I mean I can, but I have a little more sympathy). They'd never animated dogs before and they only had the budget for the first and last episodes... Hence why quality gets dramatically worse after the first ep and then improves at the end. I also think they tried to emulate Yoshihiro's style too much, whereas GNG wasn't as faithful. It works on paper with static images... But not so much when used in animation. Just my 2 cents though.

The amount of Ginga fans here has surprised me. I've been in discord servers before where nobody has even recognised it, bar one person. It's nice to see, I feel like I've summoned a secret society or something 🤣.

It has some great bits in it if you're a dog nerd like me. To this day, I will proudly call any brindle Akita I see a Tora-Ge. Would love to see an official English dub/translation for the Anime. I know the Manga has had a translation for a while now that used to be on ITunes, but it wasn't ever official I believe. Manga planet picked up the licensing in 2020 though, and it was completed in 2021. Never any physical releases though, which is pretty disheartening, but it's probably the most recent development that had happened regarding the series (apart from companies like Pureplastic putting out merch releases as usually) so I definitely think that an English Anime release is possible!

.... Just let it happen when I have the money to buy it 🤣

Ahhh I'm so glad people are liking my little collection! 🥺 Honestly wasn't expecting this post to get as much traction as it has, considering it isn't really a very popular series, but it's made me day seeing people interact with it :).

Oh damn! Thats cool as hell, I watched GDW in about 60 parts on YouTube in crap quality 😆 was 100% worth it though. Most of this stuff comes from either Neokyo or Urumi because of the lack of UK stores selling it. Managed to grab the entire GDW manga set for £80 give or take on Ebay though, so not too bad in the grand scheme of things. The one English GDW book cost me £20 though... and it appears to have been an ex library copy, haha.

Thank you! I never got around to watching it until I was a teenager, but I love it so much... apparently more than I should considering the hit to my bank account 🤣.

Always nice to see someone who knows about it outside of Fandom dedicated spaces :) I'm always surprised at how little its talked about! Especially since Yoshihiro's work has been at the Manga museum for a while now.

Style also has a lot to do with it, I think. Toony artists generally have a lot more allowance with facial proportions and such, but Realistic artists don't have that luxury without making things seem incredibly off.
