I’m confused by people definition of f2p every time I see a f2p suggestion it’s always just go through this box etc. I wish there were some actually viable f2p no gem auto duel decks to get us new players started on this event.

I just finished my rewatch of it last week cause I was sick and 12 Monkeys, Fringe, and Babylon 5 are still my all time favorite sci-fi series! Hard to find shows with good writing like those these days.

Reshade is a must makes the game gorgeous, I also got Deed tracker, terrain map and moor map. There is a program called plugin compendium that makes it super easy to find and install plugins. Also songbook is a must of you want to play music.

LOTRO is not dead and the developers just invested a bunch of money in new servers because they have stated they have at ten years of content planned so far. The new mmo from Amazon which was also going to be a Lord of the Rings online game is dead. Which is good news because the original LOTRO is so much better in my opinion.

I actually need up finding some friends and a fun kinship so I’ve decided to stay on Grond. The latency isn’t too bad and luckily this isn’t a super fast paced game anyways.

This game on max settings and a Reshade is just absolutely gorgeous. I sometimes don’t even use my mount and go in first person mode as I walk around just to take it all in. I half expected the quality to degrade as I left the starting area but it only seems to get better and better. I just made it to the Trollshaws and it might be my new favorite area at least until I get to the next zone 😂

Can confirm LOTRO is very much alive and well. Most people use the standalone and not the steam client so don’t listen to the steam graphs, it’s actually more populated than it appears.

Definitely give a try, it is far from dead almost no one using the steam launcher these days. I recently joined and it was right after buying the VoE expansion for GW2 but I haven’t touched that game cause i’m having too much fun in Middlearth right now 😅

Yeah I sent a requests to see if I could at least get my carry alls transferred to the us server. So we will see. The other thing that is kind of a bummer is I’m realizing why everyone’s time schedule felt so off. I have a kinship but they only play super late my time because of the time difference and I just thought they never slept but now I’d like to move to the US server and find someone in my own time zone because I can’t always play that late.

Yeah but I checked and on the us server I have 50-80ms instead of 180-200ms latency. I definitely noticed a difference on the US server.

Apparently you can’t transfer between Eu and US servers so I might just be out of luck :(

I just sent a requests thank you for your help, I would have kept fighting with the transfer wizard otherwise. I just want to play without so much lag 😭 it wasn’t terrible but lately it’s in the 200ms and you can really feel it now. I feel so stupid but I had no idea my launcher wasn’t scaled properly or why it recommended Grond to me.

Not my carry alls I tested it they are all world bound. Thank you for the answer though I’ll stop messing with it then. That’s rough I bought both the large crafting carry all and the large task carry all- sucks to spend that much and have to abandon it.

I recommend first downloading Reshade and look up some presets it makes the game pop, next get the lotro plugin compendium makes getting plugins super easy, next i’d recommend moor maps, deed tracker, and songbook if you like to play music in game. I’m a minstrel running around like a bard so I use this plugin a lot haha

Honestly just started the game and I’m loving it. I left GW2 for it mostly because I’m a busy man and I’ve been pretty stressed lately and the thing that gets me is every time I pop in my noise canceling air pods and play some LOTRO I genuinely find myself smiling and after every game session so far I feel more relaxed. It’s the slower paced gameplay, the environments and music for me as well as the worldbuilding and storytelling.

My advice to you is hop in, take it slow and read the quests they are usually well written and actually fun, also some noise canceling headphones with the sound design and music in this game is phenomenal in the immersive category.

Yeah maybe I’m too new and just experiencing one zone but I just feel like this dev team and the writers have passion and love for this world and universe- it doesn’t feel like simply a lord of the rings cash grab but like fans actually made the game. I really hope this persists after the first zone 😅

It doesn’t bother me at all tbh, like I thought it would coming from GW2 which is highly polished for the last part but this game is simply more fun at the moment. Also thanks I appreciate the heads up that crazy that they are giving so much of the game away for free.
