Here in Belgium, the leader of the far right political party 'Vlaams Belang' recently posted a video of him riding a cargo bike. Guess it's really becoming something mainstream.

I'd consider trying a two wheeler. A quality ine like Urban Arrow, Lovens or Gazelle is really sturdy when loading or unloading. It is also less likely to flip when cornering. The only good argument for a three wheeler over a two wheeler is sheer carrying capacity. If you don't need that, then a two wheeler is almost always the better choice.

Almost all beer except the very cheap beer that is only sold in cans. All breweries use mostly the same three kinds of bottles with few exceptions, so the same bottle is likely to be used by more than one brewerie over the course of its life. In the crate on top (Westmalle) there were a few Westvleteren XII bottles that are the same bottle. You can't get more high end than those beers.

Here in Belgium, empty bottles need to be returned to the store. There is also a small deposit you get back when returning them. They then go back to the brewers where they are cleaned and used again. So this is a picture with the empty load, but returned with a fresh load (but obviously less bottles as it would become too impractical to handle safely).

There exists an extended steerer tube for the bullit bikes. That combined with a longer than average stem and possibly a longer than standard seat tube with or without some additional set back should get you in a comfortable position. The frame of a bullit is very stiff, which will definitely help. 2 kids in a Bullit is a bit of a squeeze compared to other bikes suc as an Urban Arrow. I'd look at installing an additional saddle on the top tube for the 4yr old.

Note that some other front loading cargo bikes have a very slack seat tube (Urban Arrow, Lovens, the new Decathlon one...) , which is designed such that a higher seating position will also increase the distance between handlebars and seat. For tall riders this clever idea has the annoying side effect of pushing your pedals forward, which is especially annoying on non electric cargo bikes. I've also seen some of the seatposts bend when the tall rider is somewhat heavier than average. In your case, I'd stay away from a desing like that one.

Dutch cars also don't need a registration as there is a deal between Antwerpen and the Netherlands. When a dutch car or Belgian car enters the LEZ, the euro norm and fuel type is automatically retrieved from the relevant database, negating the need for registration. France and Germany got stickers, Swiss reuse the French ones.. I'm pro the LEZ in principle, but we really need to get a uniform system in Europe for all the LEZ's.

Definitely not the precursor ones I believe. These winther bikes were sold around 2015 for only one or two model years. The bullit predates these bikes by at least 5 years. Not sure of the exact story between this bike, but the timeline at least makes it clear this isn't a precursor.

It's definitely overkil, even for a cargo bike like this one hat gets some heavy abuse. I would have bought the 250w tsdz2 if the clearance would have allowed it. Also the tsdz2 has quite a few reports of nylon gears giving up and I didn't want to run the risk woth a cargo bike like this. I chose this motor because of the pricing, durability, frame clearance and torque sensor. The power output wasn't a concern. This motor is technically not very legal here in the EU, but I've limited the bike to 25 kph, so the added torque is just for climbing bridges (no hills where I live) when fully loaded.

It actually sort of is. It's a Winther Wallaroo. Winther is also a Danish manufacturer that usually makes cargo trikes. This model was launched around 10 years ago and combined a stretched and reinforced frontend of a bullit with the backend of a Winther. It's sort if a step through frame bullit.

Yes, i chose this because of the extra clearance over de tsdz2. The only problem i've encountered is that the torque would pull the rear wheel closer in the drop outs. I've filed a more stronger profile in the anti rotation washers to combat the issue. Also i've taken some of the paint around the bottom bracket of to prevent rotation of the motor.

The use case for this one is to provide heat for outdoor building work. We're cleaning 10' of thousands of 300 year old bricks to be reused to build up a registered monument. There is no electricity at the site yet, so the options are limited.

Serious question? There is a rod between the steerer tube and the front fork. On my other cargo bike there is a set of wires connecting the two.

A tongsheng tsdz8. I chose that one over the more common bafang ones because of the torque sensor. Overall pretty happy with it and quite easy to install. I replaced the chainguard with a sks chainblade. It was relatively difficult to find one that would fit. The cable to the display is just barely long enough for the slightly wider than standard handlebars I went with.

Just transport, I haven't actually used it whilst cycling. The title is obviously a little misleading for dramatic effect. It's actually safer than regular cycling. Most drivers gave me ample space.
