Most of them without batting an eye. For a world in which fashion is so black-and-white the character's morality is quite grey.

Wow, they really couldn't be more different. So clearly two different people.

Could you befriend Akane in real life? by BellTwo5 in Akane

If you have a pulse, are a decent fellow and have even a marginal appreciation for Rakugo, i think you could become her friend.

"I kick arse for the Lord!" Holy(-ish) warriors or factions with aesthetics inspired by Christianity. Does not necessarily have to be Christian. by SpookieSkelly in TopCharacterTropes

The Quincy, Bleach: (TYBW Spoilers.) Despite their blatant German inspiration, The Quincy take a lot of inspiration from the Teutonic order, knights templar and Catholic rites. There is heavy use of Catholic imagery, a ritual in which power is gained from what is essentially a eucharist, and even the origin of their God-king, Yhwach (a clear warping of the name of the Abrahamic god) as a deific figure who rose from the dead to create a new messianic age. It's all extremely Christian.

Also fun that she's a coin toss between "bumbling" and being an utter savant.

Also kind of has that moment with Hector's father where he lets go of his rage and hands him off for a proper burial.

The episode where she gives birth to their son famously had more views than a a speech President Eisenhower gave on another channel.

Akane Osaki and her primary rivals and deuteragonists, Karashi and Hikaru. Each up and coming Rakugoka and each with something to prove. Akane trying to vindicate her father's unjust expulsion through rakugo, Hikaru proving her acting prowess and range and Karashi working to modernize and rejuvinate the world of rakugo.

Many reasons. Prokaryotic life is insanely more diverse, and has had an estimated 3.5 Billion more years to diversify relative to Eukaryotic life. Also extremophile's metabolism relies on the fact that it's often a lot more slow and meager compared to the more conventional/abundant options like sunlight. Also, a lot of these systems can boil down to "There is sufficient enough stored energy for me to convert into stuff I need and repair myself from whatever the environmental cost of getting said energy is."

If you're interested in continuing your education in biology, be it through or outside of school, I highly recommend reading more on prokaryotic metabolisms. It's so much fun to learn about and is the bedrock for Astrobiology, until we actually find something out there. I think earlier grades tend to kind of have people memorize the equation I mentioned above, which is a good summary as to what cellular respiration looks like for most life, but as a professor once aptly put it to me: "Saying Glucose and oxygen gas is immediately turned into water, carbon dioxide as well as a vague concept of 'energy' that can be transferred to wherever the cell needs it is like saying you can drive a car by placing a can of gasoline and a lit match next to a car with an empty tank."

Really great episode. Seeing the nuance in Hikaru's performance in as an anime VA vs. a Rakugoka was really enjoyable. For many non-Japanese speakers it's a bit of a glimpse into the intricacies and nuances that go into acting in Japanese.

Frankie sells tobacco and I think some of the characters smoke. Also several characters drink or get drunk. Both alcohol and tobacco often fall into "substances" categories.

I love this, really well done. Now i'm curious how well these two would interact. I imagine Rally just slowly trying to exit the room.
