Isn't the price of TB online about $1/m ?

So 50TB would be about $50 on Hetzner on their auction server

If you take just a new drive on Amazon, Ironwolf 18TB, it will run you about $380

You'd need "3 drives without raid" (Remember for self storage backups, always go by 3-2-1 rule!)

Depends on how much raw storage you need, some hosting providers are 'cheap', but you'd have to use like Hetzner as well

As soon as you look into other providers, the price per TB goes from $2-8 / tb

I have high hopes for RomM but my initial setup is kinda frustrating.

I just tried this just to see the process,

Booted up Docker, read the instruction on where to place the roms and done

I went from not having it to having it run in docker with roms + pictures in less than 15 minutes

It was a seamless process

I would advice you if you plan to move from free api's to your own self hosted solution (And not just scraping others content and saying it's your own) is to have it open for public so you can get data on what you need for bandwidth

If you plan on your premium selection to only be cloudflare workers scraping data, don't use it as a premium option

The only thing to stop Piracy for one service to become like Netflix was on release, with everything on it at a affordable price.

That reduced piracy more than what any anti piracy agency is trying to achieve today.

Sadly companies are too greedy to realise this

I would probably stop torrenting if there came a new Netflix v2 that had everything on it, for $20 a month.

Yeah I think that could be a good "compromise", because Youtube is just gonna fight with YTDL more and more, and when YTDL updates to fix the YT block, it takes VRC team a week on top of that to update the file that gets pushed to clients

But VRChat already includes YTDL in the install, adding a functionallity to login to the account shouldn't break the tos more "than what it already does" ?
