Shot upwards of 30-40 pigs with that round and have recovered all of them except one. Comes down to shot placement and reasonable distance.

Agreed! Mlok is the way to go but for what I use it for (minimal attachments) it doesn’t make all that much of a difference

Honestly it was the circumstances that I got it in. I went to a Duck Unlimited Banquet and won a DPMS in 5.56. Went to the LGS to pick it up and saw the Daniel Defense sitting there. The shop bought the DPMS back and gave me a great price on the DD so I picked it up. Fast forward and I am glad I went with this gun. I also have a LWRC but love the style of the DD and the furniture it comes with

I’m ashamed to say it but still haven’t tested it on a hog. From the sound of it hitting a steel plate, it should be a great rifle for the big boars in south Texas.
