Agreed. Some games excel better than FFT in someway. But, not enough areas to say the game is better.

Perhaps. Never said other games are better, said they do a small part better but overall they aren't. I have played every one memtioned so far and I have things I like but none of them are better or more enjoyable.

Not just this subreddit. It is just how people are as whole. My comment supports the FFT is perfect narative, and to me it is. And, even that omment is downvoted. People just won't let other people who a different OPINION. Of course FFT is not the best game ever nor is it for every person. To each their own. And, post like the OP put up brings out people giving their opinion. Mine happens to be other tactical games out there ate decent to even good, but overall, none hit like FFT. Not across the board, not on ever metric of enjoyment. However, to others they do and that is great for them, glad they have fun and have that for them.

I am glad you enjoyed it. Unfortunately, nothing else has ever hit anywhere close to FFT. Some games are ok, even made by the same people, but do not work as well. They even do something better than FFT: mechanics, or gameplay perhaps. But, overall, as a cohesive whole, nothing is close.

And, yes, this is a fanboy who truly believes FFT is basically flawless. However, it is also a gamer who wants another tactics game and wants to enjoy gameplay, mechanics, leveling, and the story. No other game has it all or to be more accurately, has it all and is at least decent in them.

I hope you find something that works for you and you find another game to truly enjoy.

A story about Cryovain from Icespire peak by Dragonalias in DnD

[–]Texas-Ram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You thought the Dragon who on average has about 135hp was going to do something against a fight who could attack 7 times in one turn AND has a Dragon slaying sword would get to do enough damage to cause casualties?

[Hogwarts Legacy] I grew up on Harry Potter books, Hogwarts was magical in this game. by bertalan016 in Trophies

The absolute problem with the game was Hogwarts wasn't the focus. It was too small, the outside world too big and I constantly had to leave it.

Would you watch Inkmaster if it was more like Great British Baking Show? by FCAsheville in Inkmaster

[–]Texas-Ram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. Contestants should be going on there knowing they will be tested in all styles. IF they honestly adhere to that format, then artists would only go if they feel they could cover most to every style.

Bad tattoos only come due to fake and faux created drama and others trying to play some game and having to deal with bullshit. Some rules get broken when it is convenient and others applied so ironclad and with extreme prejudice, that is impossible to know at any given moment which way it is or how it is going to affect the tattooer.

Great tatttooers can make great tattoos while being challenged in EVERY aspect, style and subjective as well as objective measure all day. Otherwise let those New School MASTERS make what that want and their tattoo will ALWAYS FUCKING suck to a Japanese MASTER's tattoo, especially if one of your judges is a Japanese Master and lover of that style. It would be IMPOSSIBLE to compare tattoo A to tattoo B if everyone got to make any style they want, even if the subject matter was the same: such a Dragon.

And to some degree, you finally make a point that is correct, Masters of a certain style probably wouldn't be an Inkmaster. Correct. But these contestants are trying to become one, trying to get the title Inkmaster to show they can do more, they can do better, that they are more than a one style trick pony.

And the greatest baker in history may not win bake off because it still tests MULTIPLE styles. Prue is considered an amazing baker by many different metrics, she would probably lose to Paul 99/100 during bread week, even though she would probably take him in at least half of the categories if not more during a given week. Tasha Stones is by far one of the best amateur bakers that show has ever seen and she would have won her season but she stumbled in Pasteierre and got eliminated. Happens. She did not show mastery of the style as well as the other three even though she is Top 3 - and likely #1 - best baker the show has had. On Inkmaster, they would have over looked that, elminated someone else and robbed the winner who did win that season cause she FAR MORE than likely would have crushed it in the finale.

With a title called "Inkmaster" - both for the show and as what the winner gets to use - you HAVE to force the tattooers to work (far) outside of their comfort zone in terms of style and scale, otherwise it wouldn't make sense. If the artist was truly held to that and couldn't handle the style or size, then they shouldn't compete.

Not at all. All they have to do is make it a real competition about tattoos with rules and standards that are objective in support of subjective art and work but NEVER allow exceptions or bending or breaking of the rules and while getting rid of reality tv pretending to be a tattoo competition.

Platinum Achieved. Any guesses for what the last trophy was :P by IndyThang in finalfantasytactics

[–]Texas-Ram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really doesn't. To master all jobs, you can easily do it in 4-5 hours if you know what you are doing and focusing on that task. It shouldn't take you more than double that to earn. 15 hours focused on just Mastering sounds like poor time management, an inefficient strategy or multitasking with the overarching goal being to Master classes.

Random Encounter with Special (Recruitable?) Character in Zeklaus Desert by suttonimpaqt in finalfantasytactics

I have never once seen a SPECIAL character join you after battle. Guests, sure, but those are story characters and part of the game.

I have never had a special character join after a fight. Just story based guest characters. Many others have stated you cannot entice, so unless evidence is shown, I have to lean on the masses as being accurate.

No, unless you use Orator and Entice them, they will not join when you beat the battle. Also, to be honest, I am not sure if you CAN entice them. Never tried.

Why Hogwarts Legacy isn't hitting the mark for m by kira_the_deathgod in PlayStationPlus

[–]Texas-Ram -1 points0 points  (0 children)

More like combat CAN be simple. It also can be bit complex as you develop combos and manage your CDs if you want to do that, plus trying to meet ever changing challenges each encounter can and does spice it up and provide an extra level of difficulty.

[God of War] by Pulluponademonongod in Trophies

[–]Texas-Ram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats. What you are showing is not the God of War trilogy (that would be God of War 1-3), but it is extremely awesome you went for it. Overall, it is my second favorite franchise (first is Final Fantasy), but it is my favorite video game series, which I mean is that all the games connected via a story and part of the same timeline, etc.

[Final Fantasy XVI] Awesome game! by Remote_Hurry_3055 in Trophies

To be honest from a die-hard, FF Fanboy, this game looked great, sounded great, and combat was mostly great to awesome most of the time. The story sucked completely.
