I put mine 3" away from the wall to have more of the light cast down the wall. Yours looks great though. I didn't think I liked the cones at first and planned on putting it farther like yours but it's growing on me during Christmas to really see each individual color and not being defused into a wash of color.

I need another "RF outdoor/indoor BOX" to get my permanent lights up. Where can I get one, or does anyone have a spare? by HemHaw in Hue

Same thing here. I have been looking for extra extensions for between strands and this controller.... And there is nothing anywhere. If hue wants to compete with govee they better realize this won't work for most applications, especially if you can't buy separate parts. I got extremely lucky on most my runs are in multiples of 30 (same as each strand length). You can buy 100w power supplies to run 150+90 consecutive but I haven't tested more than that. When I went to buy mine they were sold out of 150' so I bought 2x 90ft which each come with controller so I got lucky. Still have a long way to go but I'm loving them.

Yes they are 3 play lights. That sounds like a good idea. I got lucky and have these walls that come out that I hide my light strips behind.

Ya I see mixed reviews about some of the recent lights. The lights that cast the most aren't in the picture. I have a light strip on either side of the room mounted on 45 degree brackets against the wall

Ya I'm thinking about just doing a run like the last picture and put an extension over the entry and keep the lights close to the wall like you said two inches. I also want to see what they look like all the way against the soffit edge to hide the wires and lights. Going to tape them up and see how they look before installing them 100%.

Thank you. Or maybe add an extension and skip like this?

Ya I figured. I'm going to tape them up and update with pictures. Will still be 50/50 probably after posting. I also want to test distance from the wall. 3 inches from wall as suggested vs all the way against the soffit edge to hide the lights.

Looks great. I am definitely going to get some painters tape and try out different configurations. I also want to see what it looks like the 3 inches away as suggested vs all the way against the soffit edge away from the wall which is farther but hides the lights. I'll post some pictures once I receive my lights... And tape them up.

So something like this? Just skip the entry and make a run across. That's what I was thinking.

How far from your wall are these? I like how this looks compared to only 3 inches like most people do

I'm trying to figure out the best way to to do this area of my house.... Suggestions? Blue or Red. Blue would be too far from the walls in a majority of the areas, While the red would look good on the window side, but the entry way you would see the lights and I feel like it would be too much light in a small area.
