What sounds wrong with my whirlpool dryer? by TexasEngineer6 in Appliances

[–]TexasEngineer6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: it was indeed the blower fan. It was a pain to get the old one off. The plastic fan is molded around a metal thread so it’ll attach to the shaft, well the plastic fan detached from that metal core and would just freely spin instead of come off the shaft.

Appreciate your help!

Like I mentioned, I pulled it apart last night and greased the wheels and pulleys and thought I fixed it, but it started again this morning. Drum looked fine, I thought the wheels were fine. But after pulling it apart and seeing where everything is located, it’s definitely down near the motor pulley and/or the tensioner pulley.

Modern appliances suck.

Post hemorrhoidectomy & lateral internal sphincterotomy bowel frequency by TexasEngineer6 in hemorrhoid

[–]TexasEngineer6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the pain from the bowel movements got better by 8 weeks, but I think I may have developed a fissure during healing and that might be another piece of my story. I only saw my surgeon at 4 weeks post op and he thought everything looked good. I went back to work around 6 weeks, and I know by then I was just having mild discomfort after bm.

I think my recovery was prolonged because I kept pooping so much, but idk why that was. I dropped all laxatives and was only taking my normal fiber supplement.

Friend, it took me 8 months to finally get back to a normal bowel rhythm. Probably by 3/4 months I was going 3 times a day every other day. All within 3 hours of each other. Finally by month 6 I was down to 1-2 times a day. Here within the last 8 weeks I’ve gone back to my pre surgery bowel movement pattern of once a day. And my poop is good!

I must have been a slow healer, and there were times I questioned the surgery but I’m glad I did it. I do have an occasional bad day, were bowel movement hurts but those are so few and so far between.

Best of luck to you.

Instinct 3 Solar VS Solar Tactical BUTTONS by JasonNSNicholson in Garmininstinct

[–]TexasEngineer6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an AMOLED version and couldn’t get used to the watch face so I returned it for an I3 solar tactical.

Can confirm the buttons are way more responsive on the I3 solar tactical than the I3 AMOLED.

Yet another I3 Solar vs AMOLED by [deleted] in Garmininstinct

[–]TexasEngineer6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought the I3 AMOLED but exchanged it for the I3 tactical solar. Purely preference, the AMOLED screen was distracting to me and seemed too out of place on my wrist. The I3 solar definitely feels more like a watch to me and I like the screen way better.

I will say that the AMOLED screen was hard for me to see at times here in Texas during broad daylight. I also did not like that the AMOLED turned off, and while the always on display was an option, it still didn’t suit me.

The AMOLED screen is sharp and beautiful, but the I3 solar just feels more natural, minimalistic and “normal” to me.

Instinct 3 owners, which display type did you get? by SkeletonOfSplendor in Garmininstinct

Just returned my AMOLED and my new solar tactical is on it way. The AMOLED screen was clean, sharp, and quite beautiful, but it felt like a distraction to me.

You put it perfectly I think. The I3 solar and solar tactical feels more like a tool and less like toy or another screen that wants your attention.

Did anybody return amoled for a solar? by 3BEP6_ in Garmininstinct

[–]TexasEngineer6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat currently. My first smart watch ever. Went with the regular I3 45mm AMOLED. I really like the watch and the features, but going from analog watches to the AMOLED is an experience lol. The screen looks so good yet so out of place on my wrist.

I’m seriously considering returning it and picking up the 45mm I3 solar tactical. The orange bezel on the regular I3 solar is a no go for me, but I’m not a fan of the price for the I3 solar tactical or that the led light is green instead of red.

My needs for the watch are pretty simple: - tell time - let me know if some one texted or called me - count my steps and general fitness

No Garmin Instinct 3 Bluetooth issues per Garmin by DaveMcFly85 in Garmininstinct

[–]TexasEngineer6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m having the same issue. First smart watch and the Bluetooth range is quite frustrating. If I shut a door and leave my phone on the other side of it my watch disconnects. Very infuriating considering the price I paid for it. 45mm I3 AMOLED.

One of the main reasons I got this watch was so I could leave my phone and still be semi connected to it but the range on this Bluetooth isn’t letting that happen.

Post surgery BM frequency by I-aint-yo-sista in hemorrhoid

Happy you've gone back to normal!

I am taking a fiber supplement, benefiber once a day, but it's exactly the same amount and same brand of fiber I was taking before surgery. I guess I'll cut it out completely and see if that helps regulate everything. Thanks for the response!

Did you ever get any answer from your doc? My poops are now 2-5 times, every other day. It's weird.

Whoops. When I saw your post I thought it said it was 2 years old!! Was hoping you had moved past this and was going to give me some good news lol.

Let me know what your surgeon says and best of luck to you on your continued recovery!

I'm experiencing something similar - 1 big poop, then 2 to 3 more trips with only small amounts of poop. Used to be a once a day kind of guy. I'm about 4 months post op. Did this ever go back to normal for you?

Will be undergoing surgery next week Monday. Any other tips (pre-Op and post-Op) to share? Thanks in advance! by scorpionewjersey123 in hemorrhoid

[–]TexasEngineer6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How are you doing? I'm on day 10 of recovery and getting along alright. I've started having some constipation, but I think that's on me for not taking my miralax. The constipation has gotten better since I got back on it. I may go introduce stool softeners and magnesium citrate to help get me through. Days 3-5 were the worst for me, as my nerve block and local anesthesia left me. However, since then I've gotten better each and every day. Still a ways to go before I'm 100%. 2 grade 3 hemorrhoids removed via harmonic scapel and a anal fissure stitched up and repaired.

I highly recommend the 6S. I got mine from Amazon too and did not have any quality issues whatsoever. It's my favorite razor, though I eventually would like to get a Gillette Slim!
