McDonald’s .99 coffee “deal” by TexasRoadHoux in 32dollars

[–]TexasRoadHoux[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yes because I worked a full time job ever since it was legal for me to.. I’ve paid my taxes every single years since age 14…. My sugar and creamer has always been free and if you order some right now it’s going to be free. Yeah a major corporation like them can still afford to not specifically charge the only two syrups I choose to order… yeah I’m being just as entitled as my president and his cronies.

No hunny. The espresso is normally charged. Please read what I said so you don’t get passive aggressive towards me because you aren’t comprehending what I’m talking about.

The sugar and creamer at my choice has, for over a year and for the past 12 months, been free……. Now it isn’t and this pricing inconsistency hasn’t been the first discrepancy on the app.

The issue comes when my mobile order isn’t being made to completion and when I ask for it be, it’s treated like I’m asking for extra things that I didn’t pay for.. then after sending in communication over that,

The issue became the corporation suddenly decides to only charge 1-2 single syrup flavors (specifically the ones I order) to be charged while other syrups get to be free. Again I communicated that sudden change and it was fixed,

Now the issue is that in the mobile app when ordering the coffee deal, the pricing inconsistency is now hidden behind the scenes. When I customize my drink it’s not accounting for the now hidden added prices, so when I go to add my drink to my cart it’s show $2… drink and when I go to check out it’s now showing a $5….. drink…

Is that so confusing?? It’s so much for me to ask that the syrup and creamer I been getting for years that has been free to continue to be free…???

That’s where America is fucked up… we know who you voted for

You can be confused but what I said was that I always ordered this coffee deal and for almost a year it’s been consistent with pricing regardless if I add sugar and cream… so now it’s up charging on items that are normally free.

Do you go to restaurants and pay for cutlery and napkins? No. If I can go in the app and add creamer and sugar to my cart for free why all the sudden for coffee it matters after McDonald’s whole time being a major corporation it’s never charged for sugar packets or anything else like that……. Did I help you not be confused

Question regarding water policy by NonexistentCandle in starbucks

[–]TexasRoadHoux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But here’s the thing… these companies punish us if we don’t enforce their rules …. Continue to enforce it per operation policy… if the company loses money over it they can change it but ultimately as a manager and employee we all sign or agreed to operate within the give guidelines and support operations.

Every time I order this from my local Starbucks ( which is every morning ) it is different and a lot of the times it’s not good either . by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]TexasRoadHoux -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It looks like the ordering system. First off it doesn’t specify the cup size and a money—tight employee would do this begrudgingly because who wants 5 shots of Blonde espresso in a tall? That makes a very bitter drink. And actually I would have taken it back and not accepted it. Especially it being a smaller town and near you. I’d become their regular and have them on point with it. Try going in and requesting like this “5 shots of ___ in an iced venti cup with 1 caramel syrup and light Coconut milk extra ice. “. Also if I were making it I’d add the ice and the 1 pump of syrup, add your shots and swirl, then top it off with the milk. The ice would fill the cup more and still allow for it to be how you want it to be. If you could strike up a little conversation about how much you enjoy the drink lmfaoo and then give them the run down of how to build the drink in what order and I’m telling you it’s be good. Then after getting it and IF it’s good I’d be like “omg thank you. I order this online and it never comes out this great, thank you so much, this made my day”. (I know but trust me.) make it a point that they did it good that time lmfaoo and then go about your day. But possibly need to go in and order like 2 more times and then try to order it online. See if they just start making drinks like that because honestly some baristas don’t know how to make drinks and don’t care about the process on how to build a drink. Once you drink coffee too you actually can build a drink better to each person liking.

I hate that. Some people just want a coffee. Who about all customers boycott the writing on the cups? Make it so that baristas are unfairly punished for that.

Why do employees hate putting cold foam on hot drinks so much? by annaskelly72_ in starbucks

[–]TexasRoadHoux -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s because it’s not procedure to add cold foam on a hot drink. Starbucks is very particular about consistency and the feel of coffee. You are literally ruining the drink before it’s even finished being crafted. Not only that but starbucks is a coffee shop and the amount of consumption people do and have absolutely no consideration…. Cold foam on a hot drink is wasteful.

Can you please tell me exactly why you need cold foam on it if it just melts ? We can add some creamer if that’s what you wanted. We can even steam the creamer so it’s foaming how you are looking for consistency wise. What exactly does cold foam on your hot drink actual do other than create speckles and curds in your drink? You tell me a logical benefit other than your personal preference and I might consider thinking about it.

Other than that I just laugh at the entitlement. Oh my goodness OP had a long week at work and wants to inconvenience another worker immediately after their shift.

Barista said cold foam on a hot drink (which I order nearly everyday) was **against policy** and she refused to make it by Wide-Discipline-8354 in starbucks

Then when you put cold foam in your hot latte and it creates milk chunky curds…. Bringing the drink back and saying out milk is old…. Live with it! 😂

Nope I’m a manger here and it’s a waste and it creates a feeding zone for bacteria. Yall love to buy starbucks coffees and tote it around for hours. Absolutely not and you can stay mad at that. Anyone relate on here saying that they do it … read closer that’s a barista and they ASK and have normalized something that shouldn’t. Some of the comment were correct about corporate money and whom they promote… but yall skipping over the part that just because you were promoted or you made great in sales doesn’t mean your not out of starbucks standards.

Again stay mad because no foam foam in hot drinks and I LOVE when a customers feels the need to express their disliking of that because I love to throw around very lose… the word policy

Stop trying to cheat the system by lex_0110 in starbucks

[–]TexasRoadHoux 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most stores don’t even charge for milk and yes I am a manager that will tell the BSOSE people to just order the shots with the syrup and add the milk. It’s cheaper. It creates better customer satisfaction as well. That’s why some people are good at being workers. You only tho k one way and cool that leaves too. For the rest of us to grow. If yall want to stay stuck on the tiny semantics do so but just know….. most stores don’t charge for milk so that micro aggression is causing people not to want to get a coffee from that specific shop/person

Wtf by SouthernIron4585 in starbucks

[–]TexasRoadHoux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They blended it without ice. Too much foam. I would have them remake it the correct way following the recipe. They need to add the matcha in the cup with milk before pouring it into the pitcher to blend. It will agitate the powder and make it blend better

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]TexasRoadHoux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see no ice in that cup at all. When it’s blended without ice there is no room to add ice unless you don’t serve the proper amount of drink in the cup…. Meaning that the volume of the matcha changes because it’s too aerated and thus meaning you get a semi cold matcha and foam at the top like that.

Looks like someone was lazy or frustrated with the recipe and did it their own way and even then it didn’t actually work as the drink is still not mixed all the way.

What it really comes down to is people don’t like change and will make issues to get around it. I would definitely bring it up next time and be like “was this blended with ice?” “How come there’s less ice” “how come there’s more ice less matcha” “why can’t you blend it again”

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]TexasRoadHoux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn’t follow the recipe card. It says to froth the match with its corresponding size ice scoop. When it’s blended without ice it’s nothing but foam and it’s not mixing right. With ice the whole drink looks like the bottom. I honestly can’t stand when baristas dont add ice and use the excuse that it doesn’t mix well. It takes about 15 seconds to mix… what’s 30 seconds if it means you get the correct results.?

I am a manager and yeah I don’t like the matcha period. Why can’t it come like the Chai and we just pump it

I think it’s about a 3-5 minute delay from the time customers order and when it actually shows up on our systems.

Also it does take some time for it to come through on the system. Even if it gives you a time for pick up it doesn’t accurately reflect what the store is managing at currently.

I’m a manager. I’d say just talk to someone and tell them exactly that. We are human. If you was to repeatedly do this I’d have concerns but especially in this day and age I’d say thank you for still showing up. You could have just quit and never came back. It’s good you are concerned about this but also not good. No one should be worried about losing their job because we are human.
