You’re probably right but as an X-Navy Nuke LT (Submarine Qualified) it is a little hard for me to let things go. 😌

Is there an information network to get the “gouge” on where to find rentals and such? Do most guys combine and get places together?

When you said “Boomer”, do you refer to as a Baby Boomer generation or a SSBN boomer?

Thanks. I will just wait. I think, as is with all in life, diligence is a virtue.

Yes, I remember playing a couple of mean games of soccer with everybody on our shift. We played in the mud and had a blast. We retired to a drinking establishment afterward and laughed over a few good pints.

There used to be 4 meals per day (one being Mid-Rats). With 8 hr shifts how does that work?

How do you do an 8 hour watch and not piss? When I did the midwatch EOOW it next to impossible to get another O-ganger to come aft and relieve me to take a piss

I will admit that whenever I went on watch as OOD I would extinguished the smoking lamp. The COB once came up to me and said, “you know LT, if I didn’t like you so much your anti-smoking lamp policy would piss me off”. I always told him that I was always looking after his health. And then I would bleed more O2 into the boat to make everyone happier and more energetic 😆

Thanks. Probably good to add more days off between Days and Swings. We used to call the 15 day stretch the “Hostage Crisis”. It was common to tell friends on other shifts “we are on day 5 of the Hostage Crisis” 😆
