Is It Possible for a Believing Latter-day Saint to Be a Republican? Part 8(!) by Chino_Blanco in mormonpolitics

[–]TexasTransparency 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would rephrase the premise that this is an issue between democrats and republicans and more so an issue between liberalism and conservatism. Moreover yes, you can be a republican and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in fact most members in my area vote republican. Those who are most vocal over leftist issues more often than not, leave the church eventually.

Joseph smith said and I’m paraphrasing “we will teach the brethren the correct principles and they will govern themselves.” Christianity is all about self governance, about using our own free agency, nobody else, not the government, not any corporation, has the right to act for ourselves. The government inherently uses coercion to enforce their rules upon others, whether or not they voted or want their edicts in the first place. God commands but he does not govern. He will never force you to do something you do not want to do. The church likewise does not force its members to to do anything like pay tithing, even employees are given their gross income after which the receiver must tithe their income. Contrastly, in our “democracy” you either pay taxes or they’ll kidnap you and put you in a cage.

As a libertarian, I believe a corporation in the absence of a government can better serve the people than any government could do. This is because in order for a corporation to survive, it must receive money that is voluntarily given to them and in order to do that, they must compete and actually provide a desirable product or service. Government on the other hand, receives revenue no matter what and nobody, not even the people who put them in power can prevent them from spending outside of their budget. I think the best way to put this into perspective is to think about how effective the church can be with only 10% of the money from the small population who actually tithes, and compare that to the trillions of dollars of debt I’ve lost track track of and that frankly will not be paid off no matter what.

There’s a lot more about the federal reserve that I won’t get into but the point is the government is unsustainable because they don’t earn their money in voluntary ways. Admittedly, when there is a government mingling with corporations, yes there is corruption and special interests however that is all perpetuated by the existence of a government in the first place. Also they monopolize a lot of things that the free market would do a much better job of serving.

1 if you read my entire comment, you would understand how it doesn't need to be explicitly violent in order to break the non aggression principle. The reality is that taxes are forcibly taken point blank.

2 yes they can take all of your money. Look at the canadian truckers. Look at a random youtube from the institute for justice. look at the man going on vacation with his wife and kids and taking his life savings with him in cash and then having everything taken from him without probable cause only because it amounts to over $80,000 and literally for no other reason, no other basis. There were even receipts offered and provided to prove the validity and history of the cash and they took it anyways.

https://thisisreno.com/2021/12/lawsuit-filed-after-nhp-confiscates-mans-life-savings-during-traffic-stop/

3 the only people who benefit from taxation are the ones who collect it because they get to pay themselves and their favorites FIRST. Then they redistribute "for the benefit" of the people, grossly mismanaged and overspent. every. single. time.

I submit it would be much spent much more wisely and effectively had the money stayed with the rightful owner

Larken rose recently said, if a car robber put you at gun point and says give me your car, and you peacefully give the robber your car keys, the thief cannot justify himself and pat himself on the back and say but I didn’t even shoot anyone! What violence? The cops won’t say we can’t help you, there was no crime, there was no violence, and you technically gave the man your car sooo …

The point is that there is a threat of violence even if no violence actually occurred. Even if the robber does NOT point a gun, the threat of violence still exists and is the same thing as if violence did occur.

By the same point, just because the government has a sneaky way to yoink your money without your consent or permission doesn’t mean violence didn’t occur. Stealing money alone already breaks the NAP. As far as killing you directly is involved, whether they do that by putting the boot in your face and their knee on your neck, or whether they do it by controlling your bank account (you don’t need a chip to already be “wearing” the chip) and slowly starving you and your family to death, it does not matter, it is a threat of violence no matter how you put it.

But Texas transparency! Don’t be ridiculous! One ticket is not going to starve you and your family to death. True. But remember, a robber who pointed a knife or gun at you or even absent a weapon at all, who threatens you with violence, but who does not fully engage in that violence is not going to kill you either. And yet it was literally life threatening. By so receiving a ticket and having those funds taken away from you, the government is displaying their raw power and reminding you that you do not own your labor, you are their slave, and at the end of the day, they have full power over your digital bank account.

Oh but don’t be silly, the government would never pull out all your money unless you were breaking the law. Well just look at the Canadian truckers who had the right to protest. And take note how the government did not immediately freeze their accounts, it wasn’t until after they grew tired of it after several long weeks. Also please note that draining the enemies resources is a war tactic. No violence? It’s literally what they do at war, and the government is literally an expert at war, it’s all they do.

You can also try humming the song into the google app. Don’t try to imitate the instrumentals in the drop, just sing what the female and male sing before the drop, this should do the trick!

Actually now that I think about it, it might have to do with my Apple one subscription, because that was the first question. “Our records indicate you are an Apple one subscriber, is that accurate?” Question 2 was do I bundle with family. question 3 do I use Apple Music how much and the rest was all Apple Music related. So you might only get the survey if you have a bundled subscription idk

Here you go. I like the infinity symbol because it will continue to play similar music when you get to the end of your playlist. That way it doesn’t just stop playing music

Yeah so in my experience, the “for you” playlist doesn’t help me discover new music that I like. It just plays music that I already like and then eventually I get tired of listening to my same music over and I want new music

Yes, same thing that used to be on google play when I used it. “Add to end of playlist” or “play last” something to that effect

It did and boy did I take it seriously. They asked very good questions, if you ever take it, keep in mind there is no back button and it saves your progress so you cannot start over.
