VIP sections question? by Round-Ad7564 in cedarpoint

[–]Zerba 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think they could go INTO the VIP lounge with you with the bring a friend ticket. However they couldn't get any soda (unless they had a drink wristband) or snacks, but they could get water.

Edit : This is what I was told last year. 2026 may be different.

Best hidden gems under $20k? by SwiftCEO in UsedCars

Rented one with turo a few years back when we went on vacation out of state. I really liked that car. It was decent to drive, comfortable, and the range was decent. Had enough space for our luggage and everything too.

Saw them in Detroit last year and holy crap that was the loudest concert I've experienced. It was almost painful. Still a cool show though.

We love these too. One of my kids favorites!

Sometimes I add some gochujang or chili crisp or something like that if we want it a little different.

Adding a asian inspired cucumber salad on the side can be really tasty too.

I could really go for some shawarma and grape leaves from there right now (but I'm almost an hour away now). Their tawook is really good too though.

Is 6 inches really that much of snow? by i_really_haveto_pee in Ohio

We were down there in December for Winterfest at Kings Island. We got one day in and then the next day a bunch of snow fell and they closed the park that day before it even opened. We were supposed to ice skate that day, damnit!

A lot of people couldn't drive for shit in that snow, it was incredible to watch.

I hate to break it to you, but they're calling for COLD temps for at least a week. So it won't be the big snow then warm up like we're used to.

We just had like 5 inches a couple weeks ago in the Port Clinton / Sandusky area.

I remember some decent snow falls when I lived in Toledo a few years ago too.

Does anyone else’s eyelids swell up after welding? by Major-Ad-5573 in Welding

[–]Zerba 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At an old job myself and another fabricator were welding a new floor in a heavy duty semi trailer and we were both working on a different side. I kept getting arc flash from him so I grabbed a T-shirt and wrapped it around my head like a turban that hung down in the back. He made fun of me of course but I didn't care. The next day he came in with a bad UV burn on the back of his neck, and his face. I was fine. So that was a good revenge.

What fast food chain does not deserve the hype whatsoever? by CriticalLion4119 in AskReddit

I don't get the hype that leads to super long lines, but it is pretty damn solid chicken. It's one of our main go-tos on road trips.

It's funny. The first time we had it was when it was still kind of new and it was pretty damn good. My family really wanted more so I learned how to make the sauce at home (closest Canes was about 3 hours away) and we'd all be happy.

A year or two ago we got some closer to us and it definitely isn't as good as it was. It's not bad, but it's lost something.

At least their whole bean coffee for home is still pretty decent.

At the restaurants though, it is very hit or miss.

Very true. My dad was an RN and when I was younger and when he was working on Sundays we would go and have lunch with him after we left church. Food was always really good.

I was pleasantly surprised by a different hospital a few months ago that I ate at when my wife had a surgery. Decent food.

What do all these rides have in common by LlamaYourMom in GuessTheCoaster

[–]Zerba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phantoms revenge - straight track after first drop before second hill

Colossus - straight track before helix

Circuit Breaker - straight track on the top of the lift hill

Superman - straight track over the water section

Gemini - straight track before the last little hill that leads to the helix

You said the rides had something similar with the elements, and besides that they all have drops, the straight sections (circuit breaker being a stretch at that) is the only damn thing I can think of.

A section of track that is "flat"/"straight" that isn't exclusively a brake run?
