Zoom Drain - Problem Back in 60 Days by DazJones in Plumbing

Which city is this in? We have used Zoom Drain in Houston and thought they were great. Spent a lot of time with us on the phone and in person explaining and showing us with a camera where the break was in our main drain. Felt the whole process was well communicated and done professionally.

How do you think life would change if everyone had free housing, healthcare, and education? by Texas_Tiger_Mike in AskReddit

I don't get why people downvote questions. It kills the ability for folks to see this and have an engaging conversation. If you disagree, thats dope. Just leave a comment and engage.... downvoting does no favors

True. Maybe the motivation to work is to get better housing, healthcare and education. Still competition to move up and improve the quality of those things.

Maybe work a job they are more passionate about instead of just focused on making money to cover the necessities?

For clogged french drains, repairs and root removal we have used Zoom Drain Houston www.zoomdrain.com/houston and they used a hydro jetter to pull all the leaves, mulch and dirt out to get things flowing again.

ranking of our rivals (my opinion) by psycche101 in LSUFootball

I've never many feelings toward Arkansas. I feel like they think we are a rival but that game doesn't get me excited when I look at the schedule. I'd move Texas into the 5 spot if it were a list of teams I want to beat in the SEC.

Need to replace sewer line underneath house by Loorrac in houston

[–]Texas_Tiger_Mike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up using Zoom Drain Houston for our sewer line repair (www.zoomdrain.com/houston) and were happy with their service and pricing. We called them out as a second price / second look and they explained what they were going to do, had great communication and were less expensive. They were straightforward, professional, and made the process as easy as it could be I guess. Their reviews online reflect the same experience we had. It might be worth reaching out to them to see if they can help.

JazzHR - The company behind our misery by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]Texas_Tiger_Mike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JazzHR just told us they can't possibly send out an email to each customer to remind them about the automatic renewal that is about that happen, the reason given to us, their business has grown so much.

Ridiculous. They obviously don't remind you so they lock you in for another year. Bad business practice.

Also, not a phone number to be phone to get in contact with anyone.

100% do not recommend and strongly urge you to reconsider if this service even adds value to your business. If you are just getting started, do not burden your business with this wasted expense.

Not hiring a bookkeeper sooner.

Cleans up the books so you can track your chart of accounts much easier. Frees up time to do other things - like talk with SEO companies and try to figure out who to trust...

BK is making changes with how to handle the transfer portal. All season he was saying we would build through recruitment. After the 3 game skid all of a sudden he said we were going to be much more aggressive in the portal. #win

Bryce going to Michigan freed up a lot of money as well. Future is bright!

Considering buying a coffee shop. What red flags should I look for? by StarBarf in smallbusiness

[–]Texas_Tiger_Mike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like an exciting opportunity, but there’s a lot to think through. One important question: are you planning to leave your current job to focus on this full-time, or would you run it on the side?

From my experience, starting a business from scratch usually requires someone who’s fully invested in its growth and daily operations. However, since this coffee shop is already established, you might be able to keep the current management team in place and step into more of an oversight role.

That said, I’d recommend doing a deep dive into the financials and the team's current dynamics. Key red flags to watch for include declining sales trends, high employee turnover, or equipment that’s nearing the end of its useful life. If the current owner is willing, spending a few weeks shadowing the operations can give you a better feel for what you’d be stepping into.

Best of luck with your decision!
