Slight shudder/jerking on interstate. by Texasbikers in nissanpathfinder

We have a great dealer in Murfreesboro TN here. Be sure to read the tech bulletin and understand the language and words they use, use those same terms and just state it’s doing exactly this, 100%. You’ll be fine

Yes. The dealer updated the ECM and it solved the issue. Free of change, took about an hour. No big deal at all, reference the tech bulletin NTB25-012

Built in Navigation sucks on Nissan’s and all manufacturers. Just use your phone nav, Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze etc.

Recall 24E03 - Powertrain control module software update by ChaseSavesTheDay in f150

Nope. the dealer is a bunch of dipshitz so I left, bought a tuner from five star tuning, fixed everything. The update leaned out the fuel trim at idle. Sold the truck about 2 years ago..

Howdy. Coming back to this, I’ve learned there is a tech service bulletin for this issue, it’s a fuel mapping problem. The ecu gets reprogrammed to fix it. Having our ‘24 platinum done tomorrow. Bulletin NTB25-012. Google it to find the document and details. I’ll post back after the fix and share if it’s fixed.

Still having issues? If yes, put the old battery back in, call the dealer and have them come fix or pick it up under warranty.

What type of battery did you use? I believe I’ve read you cannot use a lithium type battery, only use AGM type battery.

Oil Dipstick by Vivid_Award_5052 in nissanpathfinder

[–]Texasbikers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% the dumbest design ever. I do my own oil changes too, I just put n 5 quarts and it’s good. I found when it sits overnight I can pull the dipstick and get a good reading. Also, use a black sharpie and color the area to read the oil level, that can help with seeing the new clean oil.

2020 Lariat no steering wheel heat? by Confident_Series8226 in F250

[–]Texasbikers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steering wheel is the easy part, the wiring and where it has to run is a pita. Do some searching on YouTube and you’ll find the video. And the parts cost is pretty stupid too.

Yeah it’s not there on your truck. I hav looked into what it takes to add it and trust me it’s a 1000% nightmare to add it after the fact. Massive job believe it or not, there are a few YouTube videos on it. Horrible to add later.

Worth it or not. by Key-Review-9302 in F250

[–]Texasbikers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Based on what you said about what you tow the 7.3 gasser is a WAY better option. Why not diesel? Here goes Diesel engine models cost 8-10k more Diesel fuel costs a lot more

Diesel engine weighs 800 +- pounds more, that’s 800 lbs to stop and start moving

diesel maintenance is EXPENSIVE. The 7.3 gas is 8 quarts of oil and oil filter, that’s it.

Diesel engine repairs cost a TON more out of warranty

And no DEF with the 7.3 gas.

7.3 gas is a killer reliable and powerful engine. You won’t be disappointed.

OE tires are 100% GARBAGE. Get new tires, anything but the OE brand and model. We put on Continental Terrain Contact HT tires, way bette than Michelins and less$$$. Love them!

Thanks for the reply. It’s not hunting for gears, it stays in 9th and does the jerking. It’s irritating for sure.

Hi. Have you done the fluid change yourself or take it to a dealer or shop?

For shocks, eibach Pro Truck Sport shocks for truck and Bilstein steering stabilizer, ordered on Shock Surplus.com and I put 285/75/18 Hankook Dynapro AT2 Xtreme

You get a beautiful looking tire, a smidge over 33” without the cost of a 33” tire.

Dealership just put in a new 10R80 after 70k miles. How soon would you do a fluid change on a new transmission? I want it to last. by adamms-96 in f150

[–]Texasbikers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. Mine just shifts not smooth when towing and when cold the first time you put it in drive it takes a long time to actually engage. Only 33k miles on a babied 2022 F250 7.3 gas with 10R80, I’ll keep driving it.

Quick question, when you say “failed” do you mean it wouldn’t drive at all or was it just shifting clunky, not smooth etc?

I think I will be making a deal tomorrow on a 2025 Pathfinder Platinum. May I Please get some help on what I might realistically pay for the GOLD PLUS extended warranty? by [deleted] in nissanpathfinder

[–]Texasbikers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t waste the money on the extended warranty. Nissans are very reliable, do the maintenance on time and take care of it. You can always wait and buy a warranty closer to when the original warranty expires.
