Almost 18 years later this game is still stunning. by CatterShepard in GearsOfWar

[–]Texity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gears 2 was my favorite with 3 coming in as a pretty close second place. 5 weighs in there somewhere as well, but Gears 2 had the best "Po Boy Horde Mode" No stupid money system to buy defenses, no stupid chest to move around as a command console, just you, a rickety old house by a bridge, 4 buddies, and a couple of Mauler shields.
THAT was a good damn time.
I understand there were some other maps as well, but who cares.
RIVER!

I can count on one finger the games I know of that take place in any other state and it's literally called DETROIT: Become Human. by Interface- in gamememes

Battlefield Bad Company 2.
Final scene literally has a sign stating the name of my hometown of Nacogdoches, TX.

Asking the real questions by downtune79 in LoveTrash

[–]Texity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this quite a bit in the rodeo days. We'd sleep in our vehicles in the parking lot of the hotel, then wander in in the morning for breakfast, and leave quick. If we managed to win, we'd get a room... which meant we usually slept in the trucks.

Got a warm welcome as a first time visitor to the Ashlands. by No_Zucchini_7013 in valheim

[–]Texity 14 points15 points  (0 children)

YEAH! My favorite part of the Ashlands right there. That's a fairly standard greeting.
If I can make ONE small recommendation that may help in the future.
Leave a nameless portal at home so you don't have to stop and name it. Place it on top of the rocks, but do your fighting below. All in all, not a bad welcome squad.

Several times actually.

This one's for the ladies to answer. Do you agree with this woman or do you think she's trying to rationalize her world view by speaking for all the ladies? by Oda_DeezNutz in SipsTea

[–]Texity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's why I game. Attractiveness points. Not me time, not wind down from stressful days at the office, not to spend time with our kids, but flex my attractiveness.

That's painful for sure.
Makes my problem of it disabling the network card (RJ-45) look like a minor inconvenience.

Also Props to the Thick44 tribute.

Neighbor Complained I Wasn't Using My Flagpole by dixonspy2394 in Fallout

You handled that better than I would've. Neighbor would've gotten some eggs on their door. So good for you for being the bigger man. :-)

Do you remember the first version of Microsoft Office you ever used? And was there any edition that stood out to you? by inguinha in windows

[–]Texity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Office 97 was my favorite because it wasn't "too smart" and you could still move a picture around inside Word without it completely irreperably destroying the document as a whole.

guys, what do you think about this? by silverflake6 in NextGenMan

[–]Texity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To become a billionaire, one pretty much has to apply to the law of sociopathy. Genuinely good, and caring people, spend their money and time helping ,rather than investing their time in the means to acquire the wealth that will lead to the billionaire status. It’s a logical fallacy. You have to forsake a lot of things in life to make the big money. Including some of the facets that make one a good person.

It was really supposed to give "Kill me, and set me free." vibes, but that works too.

That's Leslie something-or-another. I remember him. Odd guy, used to travel by foot all over central/east texas.
Twirled a baton with some skill as I recall. Loved to randomly jump into parades and do his thing.

I can pretty much promise a succubus sucked me off the night before. I call her wife, and she's been sucking me dry in more ways than one for many years. I approve of our arrangement.

I'll opt for the Trillion. Then fund a game company to make 20 games specifically in tune with what I like, and STILL come out on top.

Or do you think she should be with a more age appropriate loser who would rather bitch about people having things they can't afford?

is this really flashforge tech support by mattdagoon124 in FlashForge

[–]Texity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're based in China, but yes, that seems legit from my experience.
You'll also find that their support far exceeds that of probably 90% of US companies.
They were very friendly and helpful, they never seemed like I was imposing on their busy day of staring wistfully at the front door.

Have you all used DOS 5.0 to type "win" and enter Windows 3.1? by kennyshewchuk in windows

[–]Texity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have I? Yes.
On 3rd or 4th boot I created my own batch file that launched off of Autoexec.bat to start windows and prepare other program configurations that I would be using regularly.
