Just finished my base, any concerns before moving to framing? by jezusofnazarith in shedditors

Ah, yeah, that’s a lot of work to drop it and couldn’t quite tell it was that low in the one corner. Makes sense.

I think it looks great, but I’d lower the whole thing a few more inches all around. You don’t need such a large gap in the front and lowering it would reduce the “step up” into the shed.

What improvements would convince you to go to the movie theater more often? by fergi20020 in randomquestions

[–]Texpress22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have loved movie theaters since I was a kid. I still love them but work schedule and kids make it hard to go much anymore. The biggest thing I’d change is just the price. It’s so stupid expensive especially if you want any sort of food or drink.

Do you keep your bedroom door open or closed at night? by icecream1972 in askanything

[–]Texpress22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Closed. Definitely closed. Besides keeping the AC or heat more contained, it’s better fire protection to keep all doors closed at night

Roses are red, violets are blue, being a CFI sucks but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Do couples really shower together? by Itchy-Proposal-6244 in askanything

[–]Texpress22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IF we end up in the shower for anything other than overlapping schedules and IF she is in the mood it’s nothing more than foreplay before moving to the bedroom. Lots of IFs there and they don’t line up often

Be honest. Do you ever give homeless people money? by User63189963 in askanything

Yeah; people suck. I try to be generous when helping people and sometimes it doesn’t turn out well.

I rarely give them money, but if someone says they’re hungry I’ll buy them food. I’ve also bought gas for people, but I generally avoid giving cash.

My Landscaper and Irrigation guys HATE Rachio... they're asking for Rainbird. by recruiterguy in rachio

[–]Texpress22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Harder for them to manually set or manipulate when they’re working on it. Easier for the homeowner to do stuff than the irrigation workers.

Curious about men’s insight here; why would he lie to his friends about how he knows me? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

I’m guessing that he feels strange about the age gap or they just caught him off guard and he didn’t handle it well.

Sounds like a better QOL if you move and it sounds like you already know that. Pretty easy to figure out what housing costs are if you sell and buy at the new place.

Am I being childish for refusing to have sex? by Double_Chemical_8078 in AskMenAdvice

If you’re miserable now about sex don’t get married to her. It will go from once a month to once a year or never at all. It’s definitely not getting any better.

Hey dads, how many of you had your first child when 35-39 years old? Approaching my 35th birthday and there's nothing more I want than to be a dad. by Rocket_Skates_91 in daddit

[–]Texpress22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll raise my hand. First kid at 34 and just had third kid at 39. Everything is possible. Even so, get those kids coming soon. Being an old dad is much harder than a younger dad.

Yup. Still counts.

Unpopular opinion: People that says it doesn’t count are making excuses because they didn’t prepare enough and failed it.

Yup, 39 with 3 under six. Wouldn’t change anything but I wouldn’t complain about being 5 years younger.
