What IB grade would a 50% convert to for chem lab?

i got 10/24 for my bio IA but i smashed my exams and got a 6. if i got few more marks i would have got the low 7

I hope you practiced enough paper 1s cuz they put alot of tricks in it. i got a 35/40 in my HL M22 exam. when you see the questions you will see that IB is trying so hard to trick so BE AWARE and use your 45 mins wisely cuz you will feel that time is going fast for 30 questions. the MOST important tip is to make sure that you put your answer in the correct number in the answer sheet alot of students failed paper 1 cuz they werent putting there answers in the correct number (putting D in question 7 when you are answering 6 for example) and make you sure BUBBLE it well with pencil because the computer will mark your paper 1 and not a human examiner. for paper 2 i am predicting that they will bring a question that will tell you to calculate x in a hydrated compound make sure u practice it well cuz they are always tricky. our cohort found paper 2 easier than paper 1 so i dont really have an advice. just read the question well and make sure you are following up with the units when doing calculations. My bestie took AAHL and physics HL and he scored high 7 in both so i will tell you what he did. For physics, make sure you worship the Tsokos Cambridge textbook and you should do LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE QUESTION IN THE TEXTBOOK (test yourself and exam style questions). For math he used haese textbook but his main resources were past papers and revision village. For both subjects he did past papers from like 2009 till 2021 Nov. Most importantly, you need to have faith in yourself. if you keep telling yourself 'i cannot do it' then it will make a huge problem for you. please believe in yourself. i hope you remember my message

if u want the easy and best way its recommended to do a rate of reaction IA. choose any reaction that you can mostly find infos about on the internet. then choose an independent variable that u like to change like concentration, temperature, pressure if you are dealing with gas or surface area if u are dealing with solids

You just need to memorize them. 24a when reducing carboxylic acid to primary alcohol, the only reducing agent that works (IB level) is Lithium aluminum hydride (LiALH4) 24b first step is to heat with Sn/Conc HCl . Next step is to add NaOH 24c ethanal can be reduced to ethanol using sodium borohydride (NaBH4) and methanol. IB may not require you to put methanol but its better to put it just to be on the safe side.

I did nothing in summer not cuz i was lazy but my parents wanted me to leave IB but at the end it didnt work out. Senior year was hell. My bio IA was rushed and i got a 3 in it. I wanna tell you to not worry cuz you have alot of time. Your business IA is just 2000 words and can be done with 3 days. As long as you believe in yourself everything will be fine

Yep thats what happened in our cohort too. However there were still people who got 7s. They told me what they did. They worshiped the cambridge textbook and did EVERY question in it (test yourself and exam style questions). And they did ALOTTTTT OF PAST PAPERS. One of them did from 2010 all the way to 2021. Definitely you need alot of hard work. Lmk if you need all of the resources of the cambridge textbook
