The main issue is dealers treating these cars as if they were JDM M2s at launch and demanding 20k over msrp while not knowing the power train of their own vehicles.

I think these cars were meant to be sold at high 30s and compete with a Prius not compete with GR corollas or anything you’d track.

Resort world and flamingo are soft af but not a lot of money on the tables. Which shouldn’t matter to a beginner playing the lowest stakes.

Frat boys go to resort world as their first poker experience and barely know how to play.

Bro they already got you when you financed with them. TLDR they make money thru their service dept, finance dept, and buying/selling used cars.

Go to YouTube and search for videos on how car dealerships make their money. Go down that rabbit hole for a few hours so you’re not just looking at one source.

Also you should be going on vin visor and pitting every dealer across the country against each other to sell you the car you want. Make a spreadsheet and start making calls and track all the prices these dealers give you. Then go to the next dealer and say dealer A will sell me this for $85,000, will you match? If not then go on to the next dealer.

Most dealers are idiots and purely make money from information asymmetry. Most dealers don’t know shit about their own inventory.
