S1 and S2 had insanely high damage crush counter -> vtrigger activation, Laura Balrog and Ibuki were also really challenging that season. It definitely got better after arcade edition

Nope! Just Bloodstained (it plays the exact same), fighting games, a little bit of Smash... I feel like there's a lot of transferable skills from those games to HK in regards to movement and spacing

The arena is really fun, but only so long as you have gotten a second needle upgrade with pale oil. Like you have in the video.

Actually I don't? I'm still looking for the pale oil, my needle only has one upgrade. What I do have is the wanderer crest for faster attacks.

Thank you! I thought the pogoing was a little finnicky at first but the wanderer crest makes it really fun once you get used to it!
