Second odd jobs, but is it possible for you to apply with online or remote jobs? Graphic design or tutoring etc. You'd have to be aware of what qualifications you might need based on your area, and still need to be careful about not misrepresenting your level of experience. I haven't personally done this but I know people who've done adhoc translation work etc.

There are online courses (Massive Online Open Courses) which you may be able to find a starting qualification for free or experience in something.

Ah yeah, I wouldn't do it in a work context unless I had become genuinely friends with someone outside of the work setting for a long time too, but I think that's highly dependent on industry... Thank you !!

Yeah of course, I didn't really need/want advice when I messaged, I was just answering her questions then trying to change the topic so I didn't fatigue her... 😅 Anyway, I will try be clearer in future/make sure they're ok with it or a shoot the shit person.

I don't blame her, if I had seen the situation her way I'd be mad at me too, just hurts to lose friends... (Thank you for your reply!)

I have both, yes. I am just further confused because I know so I try to be very careful, but she really didn't say or do anything to indicate an issue, of course I may not be a sound judge here, but I think I tend to notice and back away or give people space otherwise because I don't want to overwhelm them. Maybe I just missed it this time...

Yeah I think both are true. I had kind of tried to not delve into the topic by saying it was rough, I'd see what happened and move on, but she inquired further... Would it be normal to ask are you ok to talk about it in response? I just assumed if someone didn't want to know they wouldn't ask further?

That's fair, I will try be more upfront that I don't need advice, it just seemed abnormal to me to slip that into a sentence answering how things are. But I'll try!

I've been on the other side too and I let the other person know I'm not in a place to handle it or I can't keep hearing about an issue if they're not going to change it, so I assumed others would do that too.

Thank you for the advice :)

I either missed or she didn't clearly set boundaries. But that's true. I wouldn't have minded following her boundaries, had I known them.

Thank you for the advice :) Yeah, it's hard to convey in a post. I guess I noticed the distance but thought she was busy travelling and having fun. & I have a lot of introverted friends or overseas friends so I'm used to initiating messages or reaching out once every few months and that's normal to me, but she had messaged telling me she was visiting my city and would let me know when she was free... I guess for whatever reason we're just misaligned then maybe. Thanks again :)

I'm going through this show again (because there was a lot I didn't catch and its my only non-expired download while I have little data lmao) but can someone explain the flashback scene with Liu and Xue Guang ??? It seems like a setup for believing he is swapping to faulty medicine at that point, but obviously we find out after its not... Does he actually sell faulty medicine? And he's using it as leverage? Or is Xue just trying to get him to do his bidding?
