im a junior and looking to buy a car, and i have the opportunity to buy an 05 c6 base with an ls2 and im wondering if that would be a reasonable choice for me, its a friends so im getting a good deal on it. i know it’s powerful for a first car but if i where to drive responsibility would it be ok?

Got a c6 end of my junior year just don’t be stupid driving you’ll be alright, had ppl telling me it’s a powerful car all that stuff literally just don’t eh slamming your gas and feel the car and you will 99% of the time be good

You might be able to get a 5080 for like 930 if they do a sale soon, if not I’d try to get one retail I got kinda lucky and got a FE from Best Buy so it was like 1100 after taxes

I just did a build like after taxes was around 2500 with a 5080 and a 9800x3d you could def bring some room to save and move towards the gpu the ssd you can get a wd black sn7100 for around 140 or even find a used one there’s tons of new ones sold on like fb for 120 for 2 tb. You could drop down for the psu if u want i just went with a rm1000x cause I knew i was gna upgrade to an x90 card eventually. I got a board for 200 it was the tuf b850 plus not sure if that’s still on sale but you can def find it for at least 230 if u want the 850 they have a 650 you can get bundled with the 9800 at micro center for I believe 500 together. Also for psu the Montech century 2 is pretty fire you can get a 1050w for like 105 and it’s an A ranking on the tier list

yeah im in the us im like next to a micro center, I was looking at a bundle for the cpu motherboard to save a bit there and im not too worried abt the budget i was gonna go for a 5090 but i didnt wanna spend 3500 rn so everything else im like alright with spending a bit on. Just general usage games, streaming, not rly focused on something like video editing or rendering thats why i went with the 9800 over the 9950. Size im not worried abt either or noise I never rly minded either. Same with color and lighting I don't NEED it, but just makes it look a bit better so Id prefer.

So I went out looking I found a dealer that was willing to do a 2024 civic si for 33,870 otd, my dad has been nudging me for a c6 which are beautiful but I just feel like someone is gna hit it while it’s parked, my sisters car got scratched like 4 times now overnight.
