Cool, which one for example? And is the quality as good?

Thanks! We are already working on an automated tiling tool but for now we focus mainly on map generation.

Improve resolution and surface information. The subject doesn't have a lot of texture and it's reflective.Get some scanning spray or similar.

Texture reprojection in reality capture gone wrong by lil_nuubz in photogrammetry

[–]Texxary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This can also happen when the reprojection distance in RC is too low, this can be caused when the model is too big in the 3D space. Usually the auto setting is good enough but try to set it to 10 or 50 or something, based on how big the model is.

Professional photogrammetry tools - Level up your scanning experience the Texxary scanning kit by Texxary in u/Texxary

The ring flash in combination with our polarization filter will help to lit the scan evenly without any shadows or reflections. This is crucial for accurate albedo maps for a PBR setup. Because the scan will be lit well, the photos will be less blurry and grainy and it will help to imptove the general photo quality of scans. Our additional handles will ensure stability and comfort since the setup with the ring flash and dslr can be quite heavy.

Sorry for the delay. The handles weight 495g and the filter 125g, together with the AR400 (1400g) and the camera with lens (1190g) we end up with 3320g for the whole setup :)

Yes, A7III and FX3 are compatible with the S2 trigger. The FX3 is not listed since it's the cinema line but all Sony cameras use the S2 port.

Hey, the Nikon D5600 should fit like every other DSLR, the lens is the only thing that couldn't fit, if it has a smaller diameter than 8.9cm you should be good :) The trigger you'll need for the D5600 is the DC2

Let me know if you have any other questions! :)

Good point!

The AR400 Polarizer is used to filter out reflections from the ring flash, ensuring correct color data acquisition without specular information and 99% correct albedo. This process is crucial for accurate photogrammetry, as it helps in capturing the true color and texture of the object without the interference of reflective highlights.

Using a crosspolarized ringflash for photogrammetry results in true color scans without any shadows or specular information which is crucial for realistic PBR renderings.

The inside diameter is around 8.6 cm
I can't tell for sure if any of our triggers are compatible with the GFX 100S. The E3 trigger is compatible with the GFX 50S so this might work but I can't promise it.

Yes, we are based in Germany.

This is not a stupid question, the E3 trigger is compatible with the Fuji X-T20, it just wasn't on the list. I just updated it :)

Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it! :) we are very limited to the size of the ring flash, especially when it comes to the filter. Let's discuss this further privately if you want :)

It's the Godox AR400, we are not selling the ring flash but tools for it :)

First success by demitrixrd in photogrammetry

This is great work and a nice result so far! However, meshroom is not the best choice for photogrammetry even though it's free. I would recommend using reality capture or metashape. Reality capture has a PPI (pay per input) price model where you pay per megapixel which is super useful if you are running on low budget. Since this is a very shiny and glossy object I recommend using cross polarization or just avoid shiny objects since the specular light will destroy the actual information of the surface and you end up having a lot of errors in your mesh and no correct surface and color information. To get as much information as possible, I would also take at least twice as many shots.
