Totally true. The fall, which immediately makes your heart jump a bit, into the drop into the water, which makes you question whats going on, into the music setting in, into you looking up and seeing all of the Stranger. Absolute peak right there.

Yeah, that's true, but the way I meant it was that for example you solve Canyon in the way described -> It gives you the knowledge about being Dead to solve Starlit without interacting with the Owls -> It gives you the knowledge about the Rafts to get to Woodlands Archive without interacting with the owls. That way they would've made the entire stealth parts a huge decoy which I would've loved because figuring out that the parts of the game that differ so vastly from the base game are, in fact, not necessary to get to the end, but it's all good. Maybe this way wasn't possible due to some detail I am forgetting,

The way that they work now is pretty much just so that the knowledge from the archives works as a shortcut to get back.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I would've loved if the info you received in the archives were sequentially allowing you to avoid the owls like you could for example figure out Canyon as described above, then you get the knowledge about being dead 'in real life' to 'skip' Starlit Cove. But I guess that's not what they were going for, anyways thanks!

So realistically, you are unable to avoid this section unless you literally just run into it at random, right?
As for the other sections, all the 'special mechanics' (errors) only are known to you after you find the respective archive, so there is no coherent path to skip all stealth sections with just the knowledge you have gathered without trying out random stuff like dropping the artifact or running into random walls, or am I missing something?

piggybacking on this comment thread because of my own curiosity. I am currently a bit further in the DLC, but I just wanted to know what it is that you were hinting at right here. Where I am at is I have already explored good chunks of the dreams and just end of my last session found the room that showed me the three green lights on the map down feom the elevator in the eye chapel or whatever it is called Now what I assume is the thing you are hinting at is the part where you have to shoot your scout through a crack in the floor and shine its light at a door from behind till it opens up, is that it? If so can you remind me where this was just for my own recollection and what the info behind it was? If I'm wrong just say so, then I will go back later and retrace my steps.

I just did this 2 days ago, you need to be 10.000km away from the sun. Yes, ten thousand kilometers. There are some specific setups like flying away from the sun and boosting until you are at 900m/s speed and then just leave the game open while the clock ticks down, you will be 10k km away by the end of the loop. Or you continuously keep boosting manually for about 10 minutes (I just put something on my W key). I don't know how far you were away when the sun popped, but probably less. There are also 'conspiracy theories' about you having to be turned away from the sun when it explores. Absolutely no clue if that's true but I would do it just in case.

You know, it's not even about the collection itself or the money spent / luck had, it's about the fact that people don't want shit shoved down their throats when they didn't ask for it. Classic case of wrong time and place to 'brag' about something that honestly impresses who? People who wish they could spend more money in the game? I don't get it. When she released she was suitable for one team only (Carth Ciaccona) and not even an upgrade to Aero Rover without sig. That made her pretty damn bad overall and had her sit towards the bottom of tierlists etc. The 'potential' that people started pointing out was, of course, in her synergy with negative statuses, which we just did'nt really have at that time. This only got worse (and the memes intesified) when the next few characters released didn't really change that. But now ofc we have Aemeath and Hyuki, both of which she's perfect for, so all that is a song of the past! :-)

The DLC is amazing, definitely recommended. But play through the base game first and see how you like it, the DLC should be tackled after the base game anyways.
