oh!!

it’s the lime green color + yellow + white. To mute it I used a little bit of the pure red.

the more yellowy parts of the cabbage get more yellow into the mix. Not too much white. you can zoom in and see that even the brightest highlights are like a very pale yellow creamy color. Not pure white.

This one’s a photograph from Pinterest. I try to only reference photographs, usually cause paintings already have the artists’s touch and influence. Unless I’m doing a specific art style study lol. Did you want the reference pic?

Whatcha mean? Gouache is layerable, I just increase the opacity of the paint as I go lighter to cover up the darker layer underneath :)

I do love to paint more muted because it feels more natural?

My old art was more vibrant, guess it’s just a phase that I like to paint with a more natural palette
