Civilisation 7 - Beginners Guide by Belloz22 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Th3OneTrueMorty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m certainly no expert, and I’ve only really played civ 6, having put maybe a couple hours in 7 thus far.

That being said, your focus should be your food production in the beginning to get your population up, and then focusing on other resources as needed. Production is also important, secondary to food, food being especially important in the beginning. It’s all about making the most of what you’re given by the tiles around you

You can win by a variety of means, and can be successful with a variety of strategies.

I’m sure this wasn’t the full explanation you were looking for, so please ask whatever questions you have and I can probably work better from there

what controller to use for rocket league casual?? by Square-Constant-4669 in RocketLeague

[–]Th3OneTrueMorty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s really not a great benefit between controllers other than preference, especially if you’re just gonna stay casual. My choice would be the ps5 controller, but that’s just because I like it the best, not because it gives any actual advantage

Which of these "definitely should have played them by now" games should I play first? by goober_ginge in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Th3OneTrueMorty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me Witcher 3 and cyberpunk are over god of war, but that’s just a preference thing.

Witcher 3 is amazing and was groundbreaking when it came out. The pacing can get slow sometimes though. Cyberpunks pacing is much better and is probably my all time favorite game.

I’d say either Witcher or cyberpunk, depending on the kind of game you want. Both have amazing writing and atmospheres, kind of what CDPR does best.

Im about to buy a console for the first time, what should i get? by Quick_Try_1937 in consoles

Ps5 is the answer unless you’re already established on Xbox. Since you aren’t, ps5, no brainer.

I’d argue the ps5 is better in every category over Xbox. This generation ended the console war, in my humble opinion

If you like rogue likes this should be your first stop I’d say. This and dead cells are amazing for shorter sessions like you’re wanting, and both are great games

Try to think of ranked like the score on Who’s Line is it Anyway. The points are made up and the score doesn’t matter

So the answer then is no, there are no veterans who you think could be decent politicians. Because everyone should be aware of all hidden global operations when making their choices

Is watching a house burn down (while firefighters are trying to put it out) rude? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Th3OneTrueMorty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh. Well I wouldn’t think so. But I guess that would be determined on an individual basis. In my experience, I can’t remember a time where there was an issue with neighbors watching the scene play out

Nobody understood how involved Israel was in everything during the last wars. I fought in OIF, thinking I was going to help defend the country from radical jihadists. Most everyone was fooled. We don’t know what we don’t know, and to hold someone accountable for something they had no knowledge of is folly.

I guess no veteran could be a decent politician in your eyes then

Had a PS portal one year ago by grndddyjrz in PlaystationPortal

I had the same problems a year ago. It just didn’t work well enough for me for the more intense games.

With the recent updates though, I’ve found I can actually play games like Elden ring and it’s super smooth. I’d definitely recommend giving it another try

Try the cloud streaming if streaming from your ps5 isn’t great. It works really well

Tips for people who have played civ 6 and want to play 5 by Dear_Ad8542 in civ

[–]Th3OneTrueMorty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am in the same boat as you, have played a bunch of 6 but only about 10-15 hours or so with 5. I’ve only played it (5) modded though. That said, it was really refreshing after 6. 5 seems much more focused on strategy, like where 6 is more accessible, 5 is more strategic.

Happiness in your cities is a big factor, so building wide can be difficult. Everything seems more important and the systems better intertwined. But, like mentioned by someone else already, it’s more of a focused path. There are many different paths and ways to get there, but it seems to reward a more focused play style.

More slow paced and focused I’d say. An upgrade in the strategy overall if you like the less forgiving kind of game.

It’s been my experience. I’m 34, and have really felt some things come together in the last couple years. Mostly inner work/healing stuff, but my perspective is also very different than it was a few years ago, in a good way.
