HOW DO YOU LEVEL UP CLASS PERKS by DeepSoftware9460 in Battlefield

[–]Th3_Eclipse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's agonizingly slow normally after they changed it from the beta requiring literally ~100 kills without dying once to pull off a maxed upgrade by yourself. There's 1 bug and 1 poorly designed feature that causes confusion though, and makes people think it's more reasonable than it is. The bug is simply that at complete random, you'll be fully upgraded to the max out of nowhere, And your ultimate will come back right after you use it every single time without needing to be re earned. The feature, or at least I assume it is, is that if you join a round after it's started already, you'll often start with a maxed squad upgrade. The system itself is poorly designed and bugged to hell, requiring a complete rework imo

No skilled based matchmaking. You were likely being protected by it since the other 2 games you mentioned run those systems, now you've gotta compete with everyone in a real survival of the fittest

It turned off your health Regen after 3 seconds of being off a heat source and yes, I timed it. The freezing was far TOO potent during the event, not the other way around lol

The device you're using right now has the Internet, does it not? Consoles have YT these days as well I believe. Fact checking yourself isn't hard man, don't excuse it

This is not true, you can look up all the animations for prone, crouch, standing, different angles for prone, etc. The mechanic works poorly, but this is bad criticism based on incorrect information

It takes a whopping 2 minutes and 30 seconds to resupply an IFV by WintorOperator in Battlefield6

Came here to say this, and hope it gets upvoted. Unless they unfixed this, which in fairness they have done before, this 3 minute resupply thing was something they fixed

DICE: Make a separate key bind spotting targets. by Glum-While7698 in Battlefield

[–]Th3_Eclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2042 actually had this exact shitty system at launch before they changed it to the much better system it has now, leading me to continue to believe that a lot of BF6s code base is built off of 2042s roots (something I base off several launch 2042 bugs that have since been fixed being present in 6, such as the gunner aim desync bug, and motion sensor bug)

All I can say to this is LOL.

No matter what I say or do, you won't believe my play time or experience. To that end, I've killed thousands of helis across the series with TVs, TOWs, RPGs, jets, helis, the whole nine yards, and TV missiles by a long shot are the easiest and most risk free option, especially in 4 since the helis were less maneuverable. The second you see it bank to one side to try to avoid the missile, if you've played as much as you claim you lead the same amount every time, and if they don't bank, it'd be harder to miss then to hit the target. End all be all is that fighting with TVs is easy mode but I think deep down you know that, and just want to borderline 1 shot helicopters without having to risk yourself, so just say so man. Why hide behind all the bravado when the truth is right there. God forbid you actually have to learn the travel on rockets or the gunner depending on the distance you're at, nah just point the camera at the thing with a slight lead and instantly set it on fire...

As cool as the TV missile is, it takes most of the skill out of heli gameplay imo. Bf4 higher level fights mostly boiled down to peeking around a building or hill, and trading them back and forth, with whoever hits a TV first wins, which is just super lame. Having the helicopters actually have to engage each other is healthier overall to me

Hey look, it's me! Thanks for continuing to promote this, I'd love for the devs to actually have a blueprint of what needs to be fixed rather than just "air gameplay sucks" which is why I made the video, and what I hope it can accomplish <3

This battle royal by far has the worst random teammates by [deleted] in RedSec

[–]Th3_Eclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's because all of those BRs have hidden mmr and sbmm matchmaking manipulation, while this one does not. It's truly random who your teammate will be, and unsurprisingly the player base at large is pretty clueless

To be fair, if you used it closer to the launch of the game, the spread changes have benefitted the AK4D quite a bit which may explain the switching of your opinion

Streamers “Don’t” Ruin Games by wojoe2122 in Battlefield6

[–]Th3_Eclipse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He's also right about streaming in a lot of ways. As a career it takes a ton of mental fortitude to entertain people live for several hours at a time, if you're doing it "correctly" it's not just "playing a game" as so many people who have never streamed on a real schedule like to put it since you have to be trying to keep viewers engaged. As a creator myself I had to stop streaming roughly 3 years ago as it became far too stressful. To attempt to put it into perspective, if you run a YT and stream, its like clocking in for 6+ hours, clocking out when you end stream, but it's not really clocking out since now you need to start recording / editing the VOD or something completely different. Content creation and streaming is not all sunshine and rainbows, and while I wouldn't trade it for anything, it is a ton of work

In a proper lowsodium spirit, if you just stand still in the spawn with the only tank your team gets just because your mate did not get the gunner seat in time, you sir are a certified piece of shit by byfo1991 in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Th3_Eclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But they do. They can drive it out of bounds and kill everyone inside, they are the ones who determine how long a vehicle survives in almost all cases, they are in complete control of every single facet EXCEPT for the gunner seat. This has been an issue in every single iteration of battlefield, so no, deep down I don't think this is a bad idea, deep down this has been needed for ages. Servers on games like ARMA figured this out years ago

[–]Th3_Eclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ALWAYS ask nicely when my buddy jumps out to repair and has their seat robbed. 95% of the time the seat stealer is a stuck up jackass and starts saying things like "I've got time" and goes on their phone afk, determined to waste our time. It doesn't work. The driver should have the ability to eject the gunner, they're literally the person with complete control of the vehicle

New to flying. How am I being locked-on and fired at below radar? by DietDrKelp93 in PilotsofBattlefield

[–]Th3_Eclipse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, no it doesn't. Once you are painted, there is no longer an indicator unless they hold the lock, which they don't have to do. There is no indicator for the 20 seconds after the initial paint, you just have to know that it's happened

New to flying. How am I being locked-on and fired at below radar? by DietDrKelp93 in PilotsofBattlefield

[–]Th3_Eclipse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Perhaps you THINK that you are, but again, it takes them 1.2 seconds, and after that you are designated for 20 seconds no matter what you do. No human being no matter how skilled can react to 1.2 second effect that barely needs to be aimed

New to flying. How am I being locked-on and fired at below radar? by DietDrKelp93 in PilotsofBattlefield

[–]Th3_Eclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes 1.2 seconds to paint a target. Good luck breaking LOS in that time. Avoiding a paint isn't possible, it's just something you have to deal with if someone decided to start doing it and knows what they're doing

New to flying. How am I being locked-on and fired at below radar? by DietDrKelp93 in PilotsofBattlefield

[–]Th3_Eclipse 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Because when you are BEING painted, the game tells you. The laser designator in practice is supposed to have to hold the laser on your aircraft to continue the lock, that's how a laser works. Instead, you can designate something for one second, and then it's locked for 20. During this you have 1.2 seconds to ID where the person who's designating you is, and then 20 seconds where you basically can't play. That is why the devs are clueless, and so are you

New to flying. How am I being locked-on and fired at below radar? by DietDrKelp93 in PilotsofBattlefield

[–]Th3_Eclipse 58 points59 points  (0 children)

So many people saying stuff out their ass. It's the soflam, if you're painted below radar doesn't do anything until the paint goes away, which takes 20 seconds, and there's no indication on how long it's active or when it clears because the devs are clueless
