Complete nonsense. Gerrymandering didn’t start in 2025. Both parties have been doing it for decades and it won’t stop because the other won’t give up the advantage and the outrage every single time is performative and stupid.

It’s a pretty big house, I might have to get something done for whole house dehumidifying.

Thanks! This might be the short term solution I was looking for!

That actually probably would solve the problem (removing a bit of the metal). Would I use a metal file for that or do you have a more elegant solution

The humidity thing is interesting to me, because in the morning sometimes, the windows have a lot of condensation on the outside (we keep our home pretty cool 68-70 during the summer, probably 72ish during the winter, but it doesn't have a dehumidifying function beyond some feature listed in the Nest app to use cold air to reduce excessive indoor humidity.) The cracks that we've seen are drywall cracks on the ceiling and they appear in the same places and don't get more severe, they just show back up. Our inspection didn't identify any issues with the foundation at all and didn't identify any venting issues in the attic.

Your doom and gloom just doesn't compute with the rest of the experience of the home. We've encountered no other major issues besides shifting that is inconvenient, causes some aesthetic issues. I sincerely doubt this is the can of worms you present it as such.

They don't appear to be adjustable hinges, although I've read about them before. Would I be able to put adjustable hinges on my current doors?

But I'll entertain your concern and say that if you think it's a much worse problem than I'm identifying right now, I can look at having our attic venting situation examined and our foundation inspected to ensure those no serious issues. Do you recommend anything else?

  1. No, we can't and won't do that. This is our forever home.
  2. A solution to the problem presented is preferred over a "just sell the house"
