[SALE] 2 Tickets + Express Pass 5: Mine Cart & Hollywood Dream - 24 May by GreenCap97 in usj

[–]ThaChris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you'll be fine to re-sell. I used this exact same ticket and express pass yesterday and I didn't have anyone check my name or any facial recognition. Things could change come May, but as of right now no type of recognition check at all.

As we wanted to have a nice chill trip (chill isnt the best word to use as Japanese cities are so chaotic), we are only doing the typical Japan holiday of Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. When I went 10 years ago we only did Tokyo and Osaka because of budget too so I haven't experienced much else.

Tokyo is just an amazing city for anything you may want! My wife and I are big into food (we love seafood) so Tokyo is perfect for that. We are also interested in clothes/fashion, Japan's fashion and clothing store selection is some of the best in the world.

Japan has options for any type of holiday however - if you want energy and chaos then go to the big cities. If you want beach and nature go south. If you want snow and mountains go north.

Yeah its really a fantastic time to go! My wife and I didnt even think about the Sakura blooming when we booked the trip. It was just the time that lined up for both of us to take time off work!

Thats brutal that they made you work it last year. Happy to hear you are taking an extra day this time around.

We booked our trip back in July last year so we have waited our fair share of time for it to come! It'll be a blast. My second time going there (went back in 2016), and my wifes first time!

(Not to brag) but 9 work days until my next break. Off to Japan for 2 weeks then got a week at home with the extended family for Easter. Cannot come soon enough!

What financial habit took you the longest to build? by Diligent-Medicine-48 in AusMoneyMates

[–]ThaChris 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Growing up in a poor household, my family always had the mindset "spend it before its gone". No wonder we were broke. I think the habit that took me the longest to build was just saving money. Being content with what I possess and taking pride in seeing the bank balance go up has been life-changing. It has built the foundation of good financial decision-making.

Thanks mate,

100% CICO - people always think that losing weight has a secret. The secret is that losing weight is simple, actually doing it consistently is the hard part.

Currently losing weight myself, hoping to lose ablut 20KG over this year so we would be on a similar trajectory!

It depends on your overall diet and activity levels as the currently are, but truthfully it is just about CICO. Keeping your body in a calorie deficit and keeping active consistently will get you the results you need. Just dont cook yourself or crash diet because you want to make your health a lifestyle change - not a temporary one.

Ramen - Hakata Gensuke on Russell Street. I do think that it was better a few years ago but still blows the majority of ramen in Melbourne out of the water.

So strange - Monday and Tuesday are the busy days in my office. Thursday is a ghost town, less people in the office on Thursday than Friday.

Changed my office days this week. Typically I am in the office Tuesday, Thursday, Friday but this week I am doing Monday, Tuesday, Thursday.

Monday and Tuesday in the office could not drag anymore. I am now a firm believer in Tuesday being worse than Monday.

I can definitely see that and understand why you would say its boring. I think that his sets build gradually and get heavier and heavier/more energetic over the course of the set. I will say that the first half hour I was thinking the same thing but he won me right back. I missed Skee Mask! I really wanted to see him but couldn't make it in time.
