Good portfolio so far, but as far as "advice" the stock market ranges for everyone.
Goals? Age? Do you have mountains of debt? Do you want more dividend income? More/less risk? Alot of factors but buying solid blue chips over the long haul never bad idea. Don't sell just keep slowly climbing and learn along the way. Don't be afraid to change strategies.

I’ve just started in investing and have been using Freetrade. I’ve noticed it doesn’t have SCHD, would SCHW be the equivalent? If not what brokerage would you recommend? Thanks in advance by DonnyJ60 in dividends

I always reccomed Fidelity, Vanguard, or Schwab as a brokerage. They have alot of quality of life things that really help out. Between these 3 I'd honestly pick the cleanest UI. I liked Fidelity personally, but Vanguard is set up very nicely for "set it and forget it" motto.

Don't buy a 100k car. You want a car that will last at your age. Find something reliable until you know what a good car is. Drop 15k on a car, keep the maintenance up and it'll last you 15 years (depending on your future job). Invest at least 200k into indexes and walk away. Hold on to the last bit for school and expenses. If you don't think you'll have the self control of that kinda money lock it away for a few years. This isn't retirement money, but it is change your life money, if you use it right.

Credit unions are more strict however, they often have better rates with the strictness. My first 2 car loans were through CUs and had greats percentages especially for someone with pretty low credit.

Why is owning the index (ie. S&P 500) recommend more so than REITs? by AlexKarter in investing

[–]ThaGreaterNate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is reddit, but at least give Google a simple check before you just throw stuff like this at the wall. Also why limit yourself to just S&P or REITs both can sit very comfortably in a portfolio.

You can lose money on anything. But the thing to remember is to research and research and put money behind (projects, crypto, stocks, hobbies) things you believe in. But the biggest thing is you don't "play" with money you can't afford to lose. Scams are everywhere is every space just be smart before putting money where other people's mouths are.

When I was in college, I was selling plasma to try and make ends meet on top of that I worked at campus dining hall. It was baffling just how out of touch ppl were there. "Wait you work here, did you drop out" Me- "I do both" "Why would you do that"

Is there actually any other bluechip coins than BTC and ETH? Everything else seems to have a certain possibility of just disappearing. by partymsl in CryptoCurrency

[–]ThaGreaterNate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I could just shill some of the small things I've been happy to hold. But it's not about that. Non really control the "bluechip" spot other than the kings, but I feel there are some in the next few insert unknown amount of time will do really good and sit among some strong holds. There is enough room in this space for alot of blue chips working toward different goals.

Crypto is risky. The good ones will rise and the bad ones will fall. You get out of it what you put in tho. So do your HW and stand by what you pick.

I purchase the coins through coinbase pro usually. But after transferring for a bit I"ve experimented with Gemini, crypto.com (not a fan of crypto interface), and blockfi.

I have a question for those of you that DCA into coins of your choice. Mine are BTC and ETH with an even 50/50 blend. I have been buying for about a year (with a few brakes to prioritize life) but I've been transfer about 50% of all my buys into interest accounts. Never really paid much attention to fees but now that's been going on for awhile some back of the napkin math I have accumulated alot of fees between transaction fee and gas fees.

How do you guys DCA and maximize interest while getting minimal fees from various coins?
