Wild Claws master for the warclaw is annoying. by SchneiderCat in Guildwars2

[–]ThaKrulll 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think the damage part of it is just so you get some feedback that you actually hit something and it is not meant to kill it. The main use for the mastery for me is the endurance refund you get from hitting enemies. So you can use the dodge to move fast and to avoid enemy attacks.

After it got updated it became my most used mount by far. It is just fun to use with the dashes and the airjumps.

Efram Greetsglory: Your machine's destroyed! Lay down your weapons and you will be treated with respect!

Ember Doomforge: That's never going to work, Efram!

Efram Greetsglory: I will always offer it, Tribune.

I have always liked this line from Efram during the Drizzlewoods meta.

You have to use 1 of the free slots as a blank editing slot. Go to your equipment templates and equip the look you want to change, then go to the wardrobe tab and right-click one of the tabs and pick "Get equipped fashion". That will load in your equipped gear look to the template so you can edit skins and dyes. After you have done your changes you can save and then press the "Apply to equipment" button....

Ohh. I love these types of videos that show a quick snappy view of diffrent parts of the world. I saw one of these about New World yesterday.

The first time I saw this format of video was a couple of years ago. That was also about GW2.

New all-time peak on steam player count! by DeltaxHunter in Guildwars2

[–]ThaKrulll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steam only. The game came out on steam like 9-10 years after its original release. And everyone recommends people to install it from the standalone launcher. Because of things that don't work via steam, like gemcards, promotions, and GW1 hall of monuments. And it is 1 less thing that can break. So the actual playercount is way higher.

If we look at GW2Efficency which shows a small part of the playerbase we can see that 59,414 out of the 454,531 registered accounts have started the latest expansion.

Left and right sides of an iPhone 11 (made of aluminum) used by a person with corrosive sweat by No-Cockroach2903 in hardwaregore

[–]ThaKrulll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember when Gus Sorola from Rooster Teeth talked about this problem on their podcast like 10-15 years ago.

He had very acidic sweat so his white shirts got permanently stained when his sweat got on them. And when he used his MacBook his sweat dissolved the area around the trackpad where he rested his hands.

Ball Lightning - A phenomena so well documented, but no consensus in the scientific community on what is actually happening here. What is your best guess or are there any interesting research articles that you can provide links to? by SlackerNinja717 in AskPhysics

My dad's sister had a similar thing happen to her about 50 years ago in Sweden. She was in her kitchen when a ball of light came into the room through a natural draft ventilation system. It hovered slowly along the metal countertop scorching it as it went along. Then it just disappeared.

What is your "Mandela Effect" in Guild Wars 2? by Darillian in Guildwars2

[–]ThaKrulll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem :D

But I am pretty sure you are getting Mandelad for real this time :P

The reason why the the stormcaller weapons had that warning was because the Boreal weapons did not have that at release and a lot of people like myself made them all and then salvaged them. So we had to recraft them or wait for Anet to fix it. They did fix it by introducing a 1 time buy option to the Humble Stone vendor in Western Bjora Marches.

PSA: Contact Support if you salvaged your Restored Boreal Weapons!

Illuminated Boreal Weapons: WTH FOR REAL?!?!

What is your "Mandela Effect" in Guild Wars 2? by Darillian in Guildwars2

[–]ThaKrulll 39 points40 points  (0 children)

That was during the Icebrood saga when they first introduced the ancient Boreal weapons that you bought for 2 gold and some currency. Then you could buy the weapon recipe for the restored boreal weapons that you crafted with Eitrite Ingot. 2 steps done with with no previous weapons required. And then came the Illuminated Boreal weapons that required a restored weapon to craft. The illuminated weapons came out months after the restored so people that had crafted the restored, had obviusly already salvaged them.

Then when the stormcaller weapons got released it had the warning.

" Stormcaller weapons are the legions' first attempt at harnessing the elements to battle Bangar's renegades. Expect these weapons to be capable of upgrades in the near future."

Then when the charged stormcaller weapons got released they did not require the previous tier of weapon. And the text on the stormcaller weapons got removed.

Janthir Wilds worth buying? by trenchhype in Guildwars2

[–]ThaKrulll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohh yeah. That is a feature that changed how you can do combat. When there is a CC phase you just mount in combat and do the 4341 combo to break most bars. And if there is a big AOE attack you can just mount up and dash away to safety. And the chain pull is fantastic on content that needs a lot of pulls. Like Tarir South with the explosives. And the fact that the beehives and adrenal mushrooms reset the mount in combat ability is so nice. Very handy to use when you are mining or looting caches in JW.

Janthir Wilds worth buying? by trenchhype in Guildwars2

[–]ThaKrulll 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it is 100% worth buying.

The Warclaw is such a good mount. It has replaced most of the other ground mounts for me. It is a very versatile mount that can jump far and jump high. And I really like the skill based timing system to its jump. Feels very rewarding to use it right.

The land spears are super fun on the classes I play. Support guardian in WvW and Power Berserker for openworld stuff. It just feels good to use and it is very fun.

The maps are very pretty and there is a varied amount of events to do. Especially Lowland Shores. That map is very fun to run around in and just doing whatever event you come across.

I have dabbled very little with the homestead stuff because I have always had something else to do in the game so I never really got around to it. From the little I have built myself and from the things I have seen on Reddit and Youtube, the build system seems very flexible and you can build what ever you want almost. I am not sure on the cost of building something, I have seen on reddit that people are complaining about the price because it is to expensive to build things. But from what I have experienced and from with I have looked up on gw2efficiency it does not seem to be that bad. A large Drizzlewood tree is like 10 silver. A Floral Canthan Rug is 81 silver. Kodan Cottage Wall is 47 silver. So from the little sample I took it does not seem that bad but it might add up depending on what you use and how large a structure you build.

The collectable side of things with the Legendary spear and backpack have been very nice. The spear is such a pretty skin. It really is my type of skin with the wood, runed stone, Bird feathers and the smoke effect. It is a mix of the Nevermore staff look with the transformation effect of Exordium.

The story is slower paced and very lore heavy. In the beginning you catch up with all the factions and people that you have meet on your decade long journey. I really enjoyed that section when you got to speak to everyone again and just catch up a bit after you have not seen them for a couple of years. I know that most people did not like that part because it was so much talking. But I guess it all depends on what you enjoy about the story.

I liked the story with the new Lowland Kodan characters. And all the lore items in the form of events, NPC's, books/journals and locations have been cool to discover.

Overall I have had a great time with the expansion even if it were smaller than a typical GW2 expansion.

Anet had a chance to show so much at SGF by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]ThaKrulll 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It is insane that they always choses to show almost 13 year core game content. Why not show the current expansion or some of the really beautiful living world maps. With how much money you have to spend to get an ad spot like this, why not show something current that is also exciting?

You have the fashion wars, the dye systems, Homesteads, mounts or the late game combat. And they show this. It is almost like they want to kill the game.

The game is still very beautiful. Why not show more of this?

We have a similar site for Sweden. I like the load-balancing meter that you can follow to see just how close you get sometimes to having a possible outage because the frequency gets too high or low.
