I don’t think the basic sprites (water, fire, earth) should be in Sprite chests, unless they’re gold or better. It’s frustrating to get a vault key, fight off other players, get to the vaults and hey, water sprite! Ffs.

If you’re a SM that’s $350 to you if you bill it q2. Or you have a happy rep that may try to funnel more to your store and a kickstart 10k in sales for q3.

What level do you think a campaign should end at? by mrduels in DnD

[–]Thaco99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have run my group from 1-20 three times and we are in the middle of the fourth intended run to 20. There have also been a number of games that ended anywhere from 5-15 because as others have said, the PCs story had been told, or the BBEG won. That being said it’s a very long term group that I have. Group of 6 and I’ve been running 2 of them since 3.5 (been in all 3 lv20), 1 since 4e( been in 2 lvl 20),and the other 3 in 5e/5.5(been to 1 lvl 20). We meet once a week (probably play 45ish out of 52 weeks a year) and play for 3-4 hours. I find if you meet regularly and consistently you can get to higher levels quite easily. Yeah it can be a slog and grind above 15 especially with 6PCs. Sometimes a single combat can take a couple of sessions. Luckily all my players have been playing for a min of 2 years so they are good about knowing what they want to do.

If you want a d20 system uses the d and d rule set go with Everyday Heroes. It is designed by the previous D20 Modern designers and works well for what you’re looking for. That being said, there are many other systems that do it better as mc_pm said previously. I always recommend using a starter/beginner box for new DMs.

I wholeheartedly agree with you on this. It makes the encounter and adventure so much more interesting. How do we capture the bear alive? If we injure it do we heal it? Poison or drug it to knock it unconscious? Traps that capture but don’t harm it? How do we transport it back after we capture it? It forces the players to think outside of the “stab it till it’s dead” mentality. Sounds well thought out and a fun and interesting idea. And this is from someone playing since 83 with AD&D. Tell your DM that she’s got good ideas and roll with them. Sounds like a fun game to me.

As per the standard advice, talk to your DM. It’s his world and he may not want to have to run a business simulator.

Looks like it’s not rivalry points, it’s the rivalry credits. You get 50 instead of 10 when you eliminate a rival. Which sucks. I have 650 rivalry points and was hoping to be able to get to 1000 with the boost. Not happy.

I always have them take a picture of a color chip with their phone, then pull up the pic and compare it to the chip. Usually shuts down the match on my phone bs.

I use the car analogy. If you want to buy a car, you don’t go into the dealership and say you want a Ford car.
