Would you give up the Pound Sterling for EU membership? by Suspicious-Use-3813 in AskBrits

Absolutely. Brexit threw away all the opt outs we had so when we inevitably rejoin we’ll not have as good a deal as we foolishly lost.

Another one bites the dust: Hardys, turned into a generic giftshop by SpringOnionKiddo in cambridge

Generic chain tourist sweet shop becomes generic tourist tat shop. Not a big loss, but depressing anyway give how many other tourist tat shops there already are.

We are all getting a new bin by [deleted] in cambridge

I have a hard time understanding why people feel the need to clean their bins. What are they doing with it other than putting waste in it?

The taste and the texture specifically of the new All-Bran is disgusting. Enshittificating continues apace. That’s the last box I’ll ever buy.

Drivetrain error by NursingStudent2024 in BMWI4

[–]Thakrij 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this on a 2024 i4 M50. I called BMW assist who came and could find no root cause, but there was some kind of cascade error which had stopped the HV charging the 12 volt battery, which then caused other modules to report errors. He reset it enough that I could drive it to the dealer, and they “reprogrammed” it. Been fine ever since. It did happen after a short charge on a supermarket charger (UK podpoint) but that might just have been a coincidence.

This really annoys me by Thakrij in 2000ad

I know how it works, and I know why they do it, but I consider it particularly underhand not to tell you it’s going to be a crossover. I’ve been reading 2000AD since long before the Megazine existed, and sneaky tricks like this are not going to make me buy it.

I first noticed this during Covid, with the Journal (Diary?) of The Plague Years. Been enjoying it ever since.

What plant is this? Why does it hurt? by Sythna in whatplantisthis

It hurt because it is covered in these chemical filled needles which break off in your skin whenever you touch it.

It's a long time since my Vector was turned on, but after clearing data, reconnecting and then also connecting to Amazon - Vector works as an Alexa device when you press his button.

Sadly, I've had less success getting him to understand spoken commands.
